Franklin ahead of his dad!!!! But with Joel Osteen at #2 shows the ridiculousness of it all!

Michael, you didn’t make the list. (wink)

  2. Bob Sweat says:

    FIRST!!

  3. Michael says:

    Bob,

I’m on some lists, but not that I can name here… 🙂

  4. London says:

Over the past couple years, ever since I started watching Agents of Shield, I’ve begun consuming all the comic strip shows I can watch. I’d heard really good things about Daredevil, so I excitely watched the first couple episodes. Unfortunately, the sound effects of some of the more violent scenes finally got to me. Won’t be continuing to watch that series.
I like the theory behind sounds being amplified and the visuals being darker, but just can’t get past the squishy sounds of Body parts being damaged.

  5. Bob Sweat says:

#82. John F. MacArthur, just ahead of Sarah Palin. DARN!

  6. Kevin H says:

Hey, Tim Tebow is on the list! Nobody else around here can claim their team’s 4th string quarterback as having made this prestigious list! 😀

  7. Michael says:

    London,

I have the exact same issue…I got through the first one and loved how well it was done, but it was just too intense for me.

  8. Charles says:

Joyce Meyers? Crefalo Dollar? Joel Osteen?

What about Tim Keller, R.C. Sproul, Michael Newham, or Ac Green?

Who made this list up and why?

Do we really need to start ranking by wealth and notoriety?

    C’mon now!

  9. Charles says:

The Daredevil series is well done and thoughtfully done, I like how the beginning where he is asking for repentance for what he is about to do.

The comic series takes a really dark turn

  10. Nonnie says:

    Crefo Dollar……number 46. Enough said.

  11. Martin Luther's Disciple says:

I have Sirius radio and Joel Osteen has his own channel – you can listen to Joel and Victoria 24/7. The list is most influential so I think Joel should be ahead of Franklin.

The only Lutheran on the list, and she is one of THOSE kinds of Lutherans, was Nadia Bolz-Weber – but she was soundly beaten by Tim Tebow and Bubba Watson 🙂

  12. Bob Sweat says:

    Kevin,

Philly needs to package Tebow, Sanchez, and Bradford in a trade with the 49ers for Blaine Gabbert. 😯

  13. Em says:

watched the People of the Cross extending love, God’s love… not quite the same as loving ISIS, i don’t think… there was beauty in the invitation along with the condemnation for the bloody path of ISIS’ thinking … i think … dunnno

  14. Martin Luther's Disciple says:

Michelle Bachman is the typical Rapture Theology person – as if Jesus has to wait to see if Obama is going to sign a bad treaty or not before he decides to return.

Laugh at her all you want, but that is mainstream.

  15. Bob Sweat says:

MLD has just given us his version of a prophesy update. 🙂

  16. Martin Luther's Disciple says:

    Bob,
Actually that was a condensed review of every rapture book that sits in a Christian bookstore. 😉

  17. Martin Luther's Disciple says:

Bachman was raised a Lutheran – I am sure that it was this kind of ‘exciting’ teaching that swayed her from truth.

  18. filbertz says:

If Bachmann’s warnings cause a massive wave of repentance in a short period we will have a…

    fil,

    Well done… 🙂

  21. victorious says:

Great article on transformative anger. When anger is present because of abuse; listening to and validating the anger of the one violated and dehumanized can help set the stage for that person to utilize the anger for redemptive purposes.

Sounds like what Michael has practiced with folks here for years.

Newsmax? You made my head hurt.

I’m a big adherent of Christ’s active obedience on our behalf. I didn’t know if it was a controversial view or what, and I have no idea where I heard of it. It just makes sense to me.

  23. Em says:

active obedience? “Whoever trusts in Jesus and rests in his finished work alone is righteous before God. It is as if the Christian has performed all that the law requires.” isn’t that enough said? … sometimes theology makes my head hurt… 🙂

  24. Em says:

    “Wikipedia
Bachman–Turner Overdrive is a Canadian rock group from Winnipeg, Manitoba,”

in case there’s another dummie like me out there … doubtful …

just taking care of business, but not necessarily my own 😆

  25. Jim says:

    Em,

By Christ’s active obedience, I mean that Jesus fulfilled the Law for us. I believe that it is part of His finished work in which we rest.

  26. Jim says:

At least Johnny Mac ended well….

Seems the media is running low on war drummers when they start inviting pastors on to sing the war song.

  27. Em says:

MacArthur is correct IMV, but we do have an interesting dynamic forming today between the Muslim world and China as China moves to be The world player …
our methods of peace keeping are yesterday’s news and a waste of money – wish the U.S. – would pick up what’s left of our marbles world wide and come home, which we’d do if we were a “Christian nation,” – take care of business at home … our own neglected infrastructure is blowing up – among other things..

…my not so humble opinion, which has nothing to do with prophesy

    Love the Adam archetype article.

BioLogos is a great org….intellectually honest.

Johnny Mac got it right on both counts.
The top 100 list made me gag.

  31. Dan from Georgia says:

MLD, post #14, you are very close to the truth there, but in a more generalized way, you could say that it all boils down to Jesus waiting to see which party is in the White House. If Republican, then glory days ahead and all is well (Copyright James Dobson on Focus on the Family the day after GWB was voted into the White House (2nd term)), or if Democrat, then Jesus is packing his bags and planning on a quicker return!

    “Now the Romans “created” Jesus…”

    My response to this fool:
    http://shekinahfellowship.blogspot.com/2013/05/a-real-person.html

One main event that takes place when you become ‘born~again” is:

“For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.”
    Romans 8:16

You just know that you know Jesus is real when you become born of the Spirit.

When speaking with Nicodemus Jesus answered his question.

Nicodemus was afraid, or ashamed to be seen with Christ, therefore came in the night. When religion is out of fashion, there are many Nicodemites.

But though he came by night, Jesus bid him welcome, and hereby taught us to encourage good beginnings, although weak. And though now he came by night, yet afterward he owned Christ publicly. He did not talk with Christ about state affairs, though he was a ruler, but about the concerns of his own soul and its salvation, and went at once to them.

Our Saviour spoke of the necessity and nature of regeneration or the new birth, and at once directed Nicodemus to the source of holiness of the heart.

Birth is the beginning of life; to be born again, is to begin to live anew, as those who have lived much amiss, or to little purpose.

We must have a new nature, new principles, new affections, new aims. By our first birth we were corrupt, shapen in sin; therefore we must be made new creatures.

No stronger expression could have been chosen to signify a great and most remarkable change of state and character.

We must be entirely different from what we were before, as that which begins to be at any time, is not, and cannot be the same with that which was before. This new birth is from heaven,

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
    John 3:3

Those who have been ship wrecked in their faith doubt if they are born again or not. But those who walk with God know of a certainty that they have been born again.

The Spirit of God bares witness with their spirit that they have been born again.
    Romans 8:12-17

    “Now the Romans “created” Jesus…”

Try telling that baloney to these people American Biblical scholar Joseph Atwill!

    http://whitehorsemedia.com/docs/FOXS_BOOK_OF_MARTYRS.pdf

Why would anyone give up life for a myth created by Romans?

    Acts 15:26

Or in recent days those who were beheaded for not denying Jesus Christ instead of acknowledging a false god?

    Rev. 20:4
I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

American Biblical scholar Joseph Atwill you trample under foot many who gave up their lives for what you call a myth.

I am sorry but I am very angry with you right now!
