I can agree with the author’s premise that voting for Harris isn’t necessarily voting for anything better. I do not support abortion at all, and I think I live in the state where more abortions are practiced than any other state in the country. However, abortion seems to be a side issue for the Republicans right now. My reason for voting for Harris is for some kind of order in government. Trump sows chaos wherever he goes, he has no respect for law and order (he is a convicted felon, with cases still to be tried), and I cannot forgive what he did on 1/6/21. I do not want to see a repeat of that on 2025. I think, where abortion is concerned, churches need to be more aware of engaging their congregations in working with their communities on pro-life issues, which they have already done for years. Those are just my thoughts.
I think we’re past the point where we will have any sweeping legislation against abortion…a majority of voters oppose such.
That means we have to find a way to get people to value all life…we have to change hearts and minds…by how we live.

Agreed! I find it interesting that abortion rates have gone up since the Dobbs decision. I have a great nephew because my niece visited a pro-life clinic. Once she saw the scan, she just couldn’t do the procedure. Her son is now 14. I had prayed for her when I heard about the pregnancy, and I was so thankful that she didn’t terminate it. She knew I wasn’t pro-abortion, and we had talked some. I don’t remember if Imentioned visiting a crisis pregnancy center, but I’m glad she did!
The abortion article written by Marvin Olasky was interesting.

This is it for me.
I don’t want to hear anyone that votes for Harris to ever talk about the immorality of any candidate. A radical leftist who entertains anti-semites, who got her start in politics by having an affair with Willie Brown, while he was married, and who supports and advocates for abortion up to and past birth. If Harris wins and the Dems get both houses of Congress, say good bye to the filibuster, say hello to a completely restructured Supreme Court, and hello to laws enshrining abortion “rights” for any reason at any time, nationally. Talk about completely reshaping American governance and society.
I’ve been telling my Christian friends that don’t want to vote for Trump to do what I did in 2016 and not vote for either.

Everstudy, Your accusations against Kamala Harris are false. Wiille Brown had been separated from his wife for 13 YEARS when he dated Harris. Its not like Trump when he visited an X-rated porn star for sex while his young wife was home nursing their recently born baby. That’s despicable. Also, how do you “abort a baby “past birth?” Nonsense.

The immigration article only confirms my suspicions that the Republican wasted a golden opportunity over the last several decades by being so obstinate over the immigration issue. Most of the people coming from Latin America, generally speaking, share aspects of the same faith base. Obviously though they are not about faith like they contend they are.

The funny thing is that the GOP back in the Reagan days did attempt to address the issue with the Simpson–Mazzoli Act of 1986. Reagan signed the law in a ceremony next to the Statue of Liberty.
But of course, the GOP that I knew, grew up with, and had supported is dead. It was killed by the cancer and pestilence that is Trump and Trumpism.
Reagan was the one that ended the Cold War. Now much, if not most of the GOP is fighting over who can give Putin and Orban a BJ.
