As I’ve shared my mother has dementia. She is also on seizure medication. In the last month or two she now is no longer able to write as her hand is so shaky. She also can’t walk on her own. We have to hold her arm as she loses her balance. She fell here on my front porch and thankfully she wasn’t hurt badly. Her weight has also dropped to 96 pounds. She’s quite depressed as she would always tell me how walking her dog kept her going and now she can’t do that without help from my sister. The neurologist has tried adjusting her meds but so far no changes. My sister will be taking her to a cardiologist.
In the midst of this a family member has called mom twice now telling her to quit taking her medication. He believes this will straighten things out as he sees meds as pretty much poison to the body. He even see the Ensure she drinks as dangerous. Needless to say this has my mom concerned and she was ready to do what he said. I don’t doubt there’s room for all sorts of discussion on how we approach meds and taking care of ourselves through diet, exercise, etc. But I’m going to make the call and ask our family member to not mention his ideas to mom. He has quit his meds and has seen great improvement. But our mom is 80, frail, and has dementia which is progressing and took both her mother and aunt. I wish I had the guaranteed answers to mom’s health but I don’t and my sister is doing what she can to get mom the best help available. Now that my sister and I have reconciled I’m trying to become more involved in helping mom. Prayers would be appreciated in such a delicate matter. Thank you. Allan

would appreciate prayer for one of my daughters who has had just about everything dumped on her this year including looming, serious health problems – she’s an independent type: “I’m okay.” but she isn’t okay, she’s alone now and i pray she’ll let us help
Thank you Em. It’s hard to imagine one of our children going through such difficult trials and not accepting help. I pray God would intervene and see your daughter get the help she seems to desperately need. Also for that family connection to deepen if that needs to happen.
Oh Lord, Your need You! They are struggling to be close to You, to know You more. They are struggling emotionally, physically, financially.
I ask, I beg You to remember Your mercy and pour it over them in abundance. Outstretch Your hand and make it be so. Bring healing to the masses.
Many here in this place are calling out Your Name, Your Holy Name. Hear them, heal them, answer their prayers that make their heart heavy. Have mercy Lord, remember Your mercy
