Roger Gales Out As Potters Field Board Member
We reported earlier that Potters Field board member Roger Gales had resigned as a pastor at Heritage Christian Fellowship in San Clemente, CA over “emotional” affairs with “adult” women .
We can now report that he is no longer on the board of Potters Field Ministries.
One can safely assume that the former information created the latter result.
However…we were perplexed by the wording of that resignation statement, particularly the use of the word ‘adult” when describing the women Gales had “emotional” affairs with.
One would assume that these “affairs” were with consenting adults, wouldn’t one?
Our perplexity was somewhat relieved when we received information that (on at least one occasion) Potters Field interns reported Gales to Mike Rozell for alleged “inappropriate touching”.
Their concerns were reportedly dismissed by Rozell and Gales had remained on the PFM board until the latest incident.
This news comes with reports that Rozell still has some support among Calvary Chapel pastors and as he and his wife attempt to resurrect their “ministry” from the scandals.
There has been no word of repentance from the Rozell’s, nor any accounting of how they intend to support the interns whose abuse statements are on this site.
Why is that?
i started a list.
they all should’ve gotten into other callings, but their gifts and their egos enabled them to start over.
sad.

The decrepit list goes on!
And the web just keeps getting tangled tighter and tighter.
99% in public show business ministries should/could be on that list…
Does anyone have anecdotes on what disgraced pastors do for a living once they resign?
What do they do for work?
ANY stories?
Any commonalities?
They usually are still “pastors” at a new church.
So what does tis list of scoundrels tell us about humanity in general?
I find Peter Popoff to be particularly heinous. The man (exposed by a magician, the Amazing Randy, BTW) is just a complete and total fraud, who takes innocent and gullible people’s money.
These guys remind me of the various internet threads where people debate whether magicians can actually do real magic.
I ask because first I’m curious as to any things that they “usually” do, other than the ministry.
For those that get fired and/or fail morally.
I’m not including the MANY missionaries, campus ministers, youth pastors and others than can’t afford to continue in ministry. I’ve met many of them who sell car and other products.
Babylon Dread’s story on Ted Haggard actually pointed out the challenges for someone to transition.
As the discussion here (partially) focuses on ministers not leaving ministry work, theres got to be an alternative or a plan…
the only thing this place ever did that was evil was charging 20 dollars for a burger
it wasn’t even that good of a sandwich
This is shocking. Where are the interns’ abuse statements?
They are up by the title…Potters Field Survivor Stories
