“There are more things to admire in men than to despise.” — Albert Camus

I believe that because I profess that all humanity was lifted up in the human nature of Jesus Christ when he ascended to the right hand of God — aside from that I don’t have much hope in human beings, nor in myself as a human being.

I am thinking about meeting students on Thursday and Friday, my first two official days of school, with my wheelchair. I think it will go okay, but I’m a bit nervous. Then I remember “when I am weak, I am strong” and I realize I’ll be okay.

    Linn,

They’ll see you, not the chair…you’re going to do just fine…

I think the name “The Commons” is a good fit for this page…….

Michael, do you record your sermons? I would be interested in checking them out if possible.

  5. Linn says:

    Thanks for the encouragement, Michael!

  6. Michael says:

    Owen,

No, not in the traditional way.

I don’t preach sermons…I teach interactive studies through the Scriptures where the people can ask questions and comment…that doesn’t translate well to YouTube.

My mother-in-law died a little while ago in a nursing home. She was 93. She and my wife had a fraught relationship; I’m glad that she is not suffering anymore, but my wife is. Prayers please.

  8. Michael says:

    Robert F,

We’ll be praying…those are difficult moments.

  9. JD says:

    Robert F,
Also lifting up you and your wife in prayer.

    Robert F…praying.

    Michael,
When using the Amazon link, it takes me to my account in the app. Should I see something in the cart or checkout page to indicate that there will be a benefit for PhxP?

  12. Michael says:

    CK,

It should look normal…it just records my id behind the scenes.
    Thanks!

  13. Captain Kevin says:

    Great. Thanks Michael!

Just want to add a note to any other readers in Canada who want to use the Amazon link to support this site – the link takes you to Amazon.com, but if.you change the country (drop down at the top right ) you can then go shop on Amazon.ca and (to my knowledge ) Michael’s link is still active .
I order a fair bit on Amazon.ca at work, and I put Michael’s link in my Amazon bookmark, then just change country when the link opens .
