Michael
Love the Romero piece… many thanks!
Duane,
I thought that might get your attention…
Just a thought on Joni-she and her husband are both members of MacArthurās church, unless something has changed.
Joni – former member of MacArthur’s church, I think.
I knew that Amity were the bible-printing monopoly in China. I didn’t realise they were a major source of bibles for the West! Surely there are printers in other countries HCCP could work with if printing in the US is too expensive.
For me, the Feucht concerts (as well as the similar Kirk Cameron “carol sing” which is now making headlines) are more about Christian grandstanding and demanding rights rather than humble concern for others. I’m pretty easy on people in regard to how they are handling COVID, but being careless and calling it faithfulness seems foolhardy.
Feucht is a political grifter striking while the iron is hot. Cameron is a has been trying to get attention.
Michael- what does 1 Cor 13:7 mean to you when you say āCameron is a has been trying to get attentionā?
It means that that “Cameron is a has been trying to get attention”.
Kind of like when Paul said āFor Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica.ā (2 Timothy 4:10 ESV)
Iām having difficulty making the connection of 2Tim 4:10 and āCameron is a has been trying to get attentionā
Let me help.
The connection is that Paul did not hesitate to give his opinion of Demas and I assume that he didn’t think he was contradicting anything else he wrote.
If you think I’m hard on Cameron, you should read what I think about Franklin Graham.
I do not cover for hirelings and those who use the Body of Christ for their own benefit.
Unlike Demas who Paul charged with āloving this present worldā I donāt see this happening with Kirk either in his motives or practices. Perhaps I am missing something?
I try to be cautious about saying why someone does what they do, but I have no problem pointing out what they do. Too many Christians leaders have made the COVID a political/constitutional/personal rights issue. Rather than act as servants, they choose to play the victim. When we draw attention to ourselves, we are losing the plot. Our job is to pursue humble lives that reflect the humility of Jesus.
JimmieT,
This is really simple.
There are big bucks to be made telling evangelicals what they want to hear about Trump and Covid.
Thus, everyone with a bent to be seen among that group is doing so.
Now, I have no reason to care what Cameron thinks about anything…but I do care when people could possibly die from bad information about a pandemic.
CCSJ is doubling down, and Mike MacClure has said that he’s willing to go to jail over this. Almost $1M in fines now…
