Personal Update
Yesterday I had the long awaited shots in my back to help alleviate the pain and hopefully help me wean off the painkillers which have become as much of an issue.
The visit did not go well, but I didn’t curse or smite anybody…though I’m leaving the possibilities open.
This morning I have about a 50% decrease in pain…if this holds I’ll be able to function with OTC pain meds and a cane.
I hope to get back to work here as my head clears.
Thanks for the prayers and kind words…they matter.
Praying for you Michael.
Thanks, Bob!
Michael,
Hopefully you can relax for three days. We are all different, but this helps out post Epidural. Blessings, and hoping for the best for you.
encouraging news so far. Praying the injections work for you. My wife had eight of them this morning, hoping for some relief for her as well
McGarrett,
I’m going to do all I can to rest…
pstrmike,
8???
I had 4 and it was all I could take…
Michael-doctors can be such a pain! (No pun intended.) I hope they listen to you as you adjust to your injections.
I just finished a month/long tussle with my eye surgeon over why I was seeing wavy lines and couldn’t read out of my right eye. It’s macular edema and easily found on the internet. I got my drops yesterday and had to be prayerful not to lose my sanctification in her office!
I make them put me out when ever I go in. Going in for another round of shots next week.
Hoping the shots work for you. You can only get one every 3 months
If you get 50% relief, that’s good.
Linn,
It’s unbelievable what has happened to health care…and scary…
Officerhoppy,
By the time I got to the procedure I did not trust them to do an IV…I just took the pain and tried not to pass out.
Worst experience I’ve ever had in a medical facility in Medford…and they couldn’t care less.
I pray the injection will continue to work and to improve and alleviate the pain. You are loved and appreciated by many.
Thanks, Nonnie!
Michael
I had one epidural with out them putting me out. Never again!
“ By the time I got to the procedure I did not trust them to do an IV…I just took the pain and tried not to pass out.”
Dang, Michael! I don’t know how you did that! Glad you’ve got some relief already. Praying it continues.
Ck,
No choice…I had grave doubts about their concern and competency…still do.
Officerhoppy,
It was brutal…but you have to trust people using fentanyl.
Make a super light weight walking stick out of a graphite golf driver shaft from a Goodwill store.
Cut the head off with a hacksaw and shoe goop a small rubber crutch tip on the end. Let cure overnight.
Make a lanyard dropper loop out of a 1 ft. length of parachute cord. Push the knot into the hole of the rubber grip till it won’t pull out using a needle nose pliers.
Light but sturdy and better than any cane made.
I walked with a cane until six years ago when I semi-retired from government service. Took a while before I regained my balance, still can’t walk fast or far but most days I don’t take anything for pain.
Hopefully you’ll make steady progress and may the Lord strengthen you.
PS.
Make sure you melt the ends of the cord first so it doesn’t unravel.
Praying 🙏🏻
JD, pslady…thank you both.
