Prayer & Praise
You voice the worlds into being,
You voice the church into obedience,
You voice us, now and then, into newness,
You speak and call into existence that which does not exist.
You speak and address us, and make all things new.
And we should answer you:
we in our shabbiness before your splendor,
we in our timidity before your magnificence,
we in our poverty before your wealth,
we in our foolishness before your wisdom.
We stammer and stutter and pause and parry, silent, mute, reluctant, with only one gift back to you-that of tongue.
So for our tongues-thousands and thousands of them, we give you thanks:
that we may speak back to you your wonder,
that we may sing back to you your presence,
that we may vow back to you our obedience.
You speak and we are, You listen and we are voiced, always again on our way rejoicing.
Amen.

In the precious blood given by Jesus, Amen.
Thank you, Father for sending your Son to die for us and to pay the penalty that would send us all to hell. Thank you, Jesus for dying for me. Thank you, Holy Spirit for helping me to understand and to believe when in the darkest part of the storm and when all have forsaken me. Thank you, God for giving us a rich salvation by all that You are and all that You will always be. Thank You for the few friends that you have brought my way and for the provisions You have made for me to keep me afloat and alive in times of much deprivation. Thank you for keeping me safe and out of harm’s way, although the desire of some would like to see me wiped off the face of this earth. Thank you for using those things that were meant for my heart was and is and will be used for that which You, alone have ordained long before my surrendering my heart and will to yours. Thank you, Lord for your merciful and gracious favor upon me. For without You, I am nothing according to those who have placed such little value and worth upon my very existence. But in You, oh God, I remain precious in Your sight. Father, God, I come before you now asking you to renew a right spirit within me and to fill be afresh anew with the Holy Spirit, so that I may go forth walking according your Holy Word, as it is written—-knowing what is and what is not of You and with boldness, come before Your throne and at Your feet pleading my heart and my passion being ever so mindful of Your presence in all that I think, say, and do. Help me, Lord, day by day and moment by moment, for any other way leaves me without a paddle to negotiate the territory while in this vessel upon this earth. Father, in these things I pray in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
HE IS ALIVE AND LIVES AS SURELY AS HIS NAME IS ABOVE ALL OTHER NAMES.
Nothing, and I mean, literally nothing can compare to what awaits us who minds remain steadfast upon the things of the Lord. Romans 8:1
That was a beautiful prayer Linda, thank you.

Thought I would offer a praise. An accident happened at my son’s school this morning in a weights class – the kids were doing situps and one of them accidentally kicked the bench press bar off its stand and the 45 pound bar dropped directly onto my son’s head/face as he was lying on his back.
It really caused a lot of pain and quite a bump and headache, plus a small gash. He did not black out but was unable to walk by himself for awhile (too woozy). I was called and picked him up and took him to the ER and we got a CT scan and all is normal. He already is showing signs of improvement.
We all are praising the Lord for many things. First, of course for the good results from the scan. That is a nice piece of mind and while the next 24 hours are important, things look good. Next is how it landed on him. It missed his temple by less than an inch, and likewise was no more than an inch above his eye socket. Of course it was high enough to not break his nose or his teeth.
He told me also that moments before, he had shifted himself so his head was fully supported and thus his neck was not snapped back in any way. He actually moved just a little right before, out of reaction to the other kid’s shoe near his face, and so the bar did not fully go all the way across his entire forehead.
We praise the restrictions on my son are not too severe going forward. The doctor advised a couple things but not too bad, and he won’t miss out on too many things for long.
We praise the Lord also that, since not more serious, the other child will hopefully not feel too guilty, while also learning a lesson on his end. Plus, if something like this was going to happen, rather it take place to a family like ours than one that might make a big fuss about suing the school and causing a lot of problems.
The school staff and principal all were fantastic and caring, praying for him, and God is glorified.
Thank you for sharing Steve. Praise God!

Thank you Bob and London. 🙂
It’s been over 30 hours now and he seems to be heading in the right direction so I think we are free from any serious damage. Pain decreasing…no blackouts or nausea etc.
Very grateful.
