Makes you long for cat stories šŸ˜‰
But as usual it is a good reflection

  2. Rick says:

Michael, those who have gone through a prostate exam understand perfectly what you are saying. Those of us who have endured the other process you describe understand perfectly what you are saying.

  3. Michael says:

    Thanks, BD, thanks, Rick. šŸ™‚

  4. em... again says:

good TGIF because, frankly God is quite down to earth – are dignity and pride synonymous?… that said, you men have it easy and that’s enough said on that šŸ™‚

i think the key to surviving the revelation that God sees all and knows all about us, without crumbling into a pile of useless human jelly, is to agree with Him and move on, knowing that He accepts us and still thinks we can do better with His help

thanking God for one less health problem on Michael’s plate now

  5. ( |o )====::: says:

    Michael,
All kidding aside, glad you had the exam, glad for good outcome, thankful for your health!

  6. London says:

The header should have read “TMI” instead of “TGIF” šŸ˜‰

  7. JoelG says:

Great to hear the good news. The rest is hard and can be confusing but if that’s what is necessary then His Will be done.

  8. covered says:

We are all glad the whole issue is behind you now… šŸ™‚

  9. Kevin H says:

Looks like Michael pulled this TGIF right out of his……. šŸ™‚

  10. Paige says:

Michael, you are braver than you know. Glad you are getting check ups and doing well.

    Great comment BD.

Incidentally, for the TMI column, we gals have endured a whole lot of these sorts of indignities…. hence, the saying ‘you can never be too rich, too thin or too close to the end of the table”. ugh. hahahahaah

  11. Alex says:

    KevinH LOL!

Michael, you are a talented writer/blogger, only you could turn that experience into a teachable spiritual lesson LOL

  12. em... again says:

    #11 – i think i have to agree with those words šŸ™‚
he’s gifted… i feel sorry for all the folk who don’t stop by PhxP regularly

Lord, we need Michael and he so needs Your mercies now…

  13. dusty says:

Glad things are healthy for you in that area big brother.

Still praying for surfer51, david, and james, John20:29’s cousin. May God have the same mercy

  14. dusty says:

    Love you big brother

  15. Nathan Priddis says:

In regards to…if God still required circumcision..and the potential impact on mass evangelism events:
It would be hopeless trying to sing, Just As I Am, with a strait face.

  16. filbertz says:

That was a fine Friday night chaser. Well done.

  17. surfer51 says:

For those of us who only got the exam twice, 40 years apart, it didn’t go so well. Stage four end of life cancer battles suck. Although through the prayers of my Christian friends and family my PSA has gone from through the roof 203 down to 1.2 last blood test. Dudes get the unit checked! Ya…God put the darn thing in a hard to get at place, especially weird access door or sure.

  18. covered says:

Been praying surfer and it’s always good to see you here.

  19. Descended says:

    It’s always a hoot.

Even more uncomfortable when the doctor is obviously weirded out by it as well.

    I agree with em… though,

My wife has brought me along to her appointments a few times. Thank You God for puttin’ the stem on the apple

  20. Chris Long says:

“Just as a side thought, if God still required circumcision for converts to Christianity, my guess would be that it would have a chilling effect on crusade evangelism.”

This just seriously cracked me up! šŸ™‚ I can picture it fully: “Just repeat this prayer after me…..” followed by “Now follow the man holding up the giant machete to the booth to your right and drop your drawers.” HAHAHA

  21. JD says:

It is especially humiliating to have a sadistic MD of the opposite sex doing it. I know why my wife has a woman OBGYN.
