Sad news about Joni – she is quite the trooper. I always considered her husband Ken Yada as hero material.

Loved the baseball article…. but of course I would. I mean, I always make a decision for baseball. But yet, maybe it’s God who chose baseball for me. Now hold on here, am I even on the right thread….

Just came from learning that the Christian life is…..
    Baseball. ⚾.
There may be more out there watching us than we realise? ?

The one about pets replacing children was disturbing.

  5. The pets story is indeed disturbing. It reminds me of a George Carlin routine I heard in the 80s.

“Life is just a series of pets. When one dies, you go back to the pet store, toss it up on the counter and say, ‘that one was REAL good! Gimme another one of these!'”

Though I don’t disagree with people not wanting children (if you don’t want them then you maybe aren’t the best person to have them), I think there is a point about replacement people (pets). No, it isn’t the same. The unconditional love is a big draw though. I feel badly that Lilly the worthless Chihuahua loves me a lot more than I do her….
