Oh my. This is hard news. I don’t think there’s anything more tragic for a parent than the loss of a child. I’ve respected Alan as long as I’ve been on this site, more than 20 years. He is family.

Alan, fervent prayers going forth for you, your wife, and loved ones.

Ten days ago our lives were shattered, but the love of friends and especially the body of Christ has sustained us. So thank you for these kind expressions. Anthony made people’s lives better. My son had a great love for Christ but like most depression sufferers he had little ability to transfer that lens to himself. At 9:48 AM on Sunday I found him two blocks from the church in his car. He was gone. The consolations of knowing Christ are very real. The comforts from fellow sufferers are abundant. We treasure the memories and refuse to live within his vanquished pain. Love never fails.

  23. Michael says:

    Alan,

You remain in my prayers…your messge at his memorial was inspired.
