I realize that there are pitfalls to telling children to invite Jesus into their hearts, and clearly Christ’s invitation to the Laodiceans had nothing to do with doors on hearts, but, in light of 2 Corinthians 13:5, Galatians 2:20, Colossians 1:27 and Ephesians 3:17 don’t you think you were a bit hard on people for simply saying that Christ lives in them?

    Sylvia,

    Thanks for listening!
My problem is not so much with the saying as with decisional regeneration.

I did have a concern that we weren’t as clear about that as we should have been and I appreciate the Scriptures and correction.

i think – without listening to the broadcast yet – i think that there most definitely is such a thing as decisional regeneration, declaring yourself a follower of Christ, inviting him in to save your soul, to redeem you from the slave market and doing so by invitation… that said
it seems that the process/phenomena was manipulated, exploited and abused by the head counters tallying up their successes – i won’t argue against the result of that being a lot of confusions and, sadly perhaps, disappointments by those who thought they’d caught the magic feather

    i will listen BTW 🙂
