Her name was Renee Nicole Good.
She was a mother of three and said to be a devout Christian.
She was shot at point blank range by America’s Gestapo…then slandered by the leaders of that pack as a “domestic terrorist”.
ICE agents then prevented a physician from rendering aid to her…if any aid could be rendered to someone shot in the face three times.
First responders were blocked by ICE vehicles.
Trump did what he does best…he lied.
“Based on the attached clip,” he wrote inanely, “it is hard to believe he is alive, but is now recovering in the hospital.” (In fact, the video shows the officer who’d just been supposedly “run over” nonchalantly strolling down the street to Good’s wrecked car immediately after he killed her. Nevertheless, Trump doubled down in a New York Times interview: “She ran him over. She didn’t try to run him over. She ran him over.” (The Bulwark)
Fox News is being Fox News and parroting the lies.
This woman died actively loving her neighbor.
There will be no outcry from evangelicals, though, no claims of holy martyrdom.
There will be no eight hour memorial spectacular…the right wing church will be silent for the sake of the beast.
While this murder may never see justice done, it may also be this generations Kent State…where a country wakes up.
If not, this will only be one of a number of murders perpetrated by the government going forward.
In any case, it is well past time for faithful believers to open the Scriptures and learn what it means to live in a beast empire…

It is very clear that the officers instigated the confrontation. The woman initially tried to wave them past her.
IiCE officers have no authority to search a US citizen or arrest her (unless there’s probable cause to believe she’s harboring undocumented individuals, not a contention here).
A woman surrounded by masked, armed men who have no law enforcement authority over her has every right to try to escape.
Video shows her steering wheel is turned to the right, clearly an attempt to leave WITHOUT hitting anyone and steer clear of the officer standing towards the front of her car. That officer had time to step to the side, which is where he was when he shot her.
Even a real police officer would not have the right to shoot at her for trying to flee. This is well-established in the case law; deadly force may not be used simply to prevent someone from getting away. Given that the ICE officers had no law enforcement authority to begin with, AND the video footage shows she was trying to escape a perceived threat, not to kill anyone, the crime is all the more inexcusable.

I am reminded from history of a particular individual named Reinhard Heydrich and what happened to him and various SS thugs when they tried to enforce their policies on a population that increasingly refused to cooperate.

While this tragedy is I agree, a watershed moment in the growing darkness in our country, it is likely it will not be the only death which will be attributed to the ICE Gestapo.
Kristi Noem, in her remarks following this event, said that ICE is committed to removing the “worst of the worst” from our country. Unfortunately, those words have been proven to mean “available” as there is clearly no discernment involved in these actions.
The terror is real.
Bluntly put, this is the enemy at his best, doing the most to convince us to not do as Christ commanded us to do. As believers, we need to stop helping him, thinking if we do such and such, we will be right. All that posturing is nothing but a type of performative Christianity which sadly, has very little to do with the real thing.
Even in the darkest times of history, the Lord has helped His people to become points of light. It’s a choice we have and I hope many of us do so to push back this cloud of ignorance and brutality.

ICE agents are cowards (like all bullies like Trump and Noem) at heart. It takes really tough guys like these ICE agents to shoot a woman driving in a vehicle or 6 of them to arrest an illegal alien following instructions at his regular check-in with the immigration magistrate as instructed and following the law (in a secure federal facility where only ICE agents are armed). God help them if people decided to really fight back using every weapon, trick, and method at their disposal. And it would 10x worse if said people were skilled, competent, and determined. Some 16,000 German soldiers died and another 10,000 plus were wounded in the Warsaw Uprising. There are currently 22,000 ICE officers and agents. Something to think about.
The story is snowballing and could soon become an avalanche.

As I followed the story yesterday and today, I alternated between tears-on-my-face grief, and red hot anger. I also thought of Kent State, that this might be a transforming moment like that was, awaking the nation’s conscience; but the change that social media has wrought on the conscience of so many Americans makes that seem unlikely: a large segment of the American public cannot be moved by such images to anything like repentance, having become inured to them, and having been taught to fit them into false and pernicious narratives controlled by the Trump news and social media machine that don’t let in any light. Of course, there’s always the possibility that light will get in anyway, but I’m skeptical that enough will to change the deadly inertia the country is caught in.
RIP, Renee Nicole Good. May God support your family, your children and all those who knew and loved you during your life.
The terrorists were wearing masks yesterday. They should be brought to justice, but apparently the FBI is refusing to work with local law enforcement in the investigation, and is shutting local law enforcement out of its own investigation. It’s a coverup. Remember, we no longer have a Department of Justice; we have a Department of Obfuscation and Lies.
My anger is getting the upper hand on my grief again.
In the video surrounding this atrocity I saw more than a few brave people. Not least among them were the videographers, the citizen journalists, who continued capturing the appalling images despite the obvious threat to their own lives in facing down ruthless armed secret police who had just murdered a woman in front of them, and who were standing just a few feet away. I used to dislike the pervasive taking of video at tragic events, and think the videographers ghoulish and heartless opportunists, but I’ve come to an about face, and applaud the courage of those men and woman who, unarmed and unprotected, did their best to document in recorded images the appalling crime that was had taken place before them.
God, save the world from America, and save America from itself.

With the DOJ and FBI running interference to prevent any honest investigation of this incident, or any incident, involving their secret police ICE and Border Patrol agents, these goons will continue to terrorize our country. The federal justice system has been completely corrupted at the top; don’t expect even an approximation of justice from that direction. We are right now in uncharted territory.

What businesses in Chicago, LA, and other locations have done is refuse entry or service for ICE agents. They can bluster all they want, but if they are asked to leave private property, they must comply. Sure they may bluster, bully, and intimidate, but that is all they can do. And like most bullies, they are cowardly chickenshits just like their TACO in chief. Back in October, puppy killer ICE Barbie was bitching on Fox about her thugs being denied service in restaurants and to use restrooms in Chicago, but that is all she can do. I really ICE agents become completely shunned by every business, restaurant, whether large or small. Perhaps priests and other church elders should withhold communion and excommunication is also nice.

There are new videos, including one released by a right-wing news outlet apparently from the vantage point of the bodycam of the cop that killed Renee, and that the right-wing is claiming vindicates their assertion that 1) Renee and her friend were violent and abusive 2) that Renee hit him when she drove the car forward. In fact, none of the videos, including this one, show the killer getting hit by the car, and several of them in fact show that he was not hit; and, although Renee’s friend uses some salty language, neither one of them acts in a violent way toward the killer, and the last and only words of Renee herself to the killer are, “That’s fine, dude, I’m not mad at you”, a phrase that people trained in deescalation are taught and which she said with a big friendly smile on her face before she started driving off. After the cop shoots her in the face, he says,”Fucking bitch”. Nothing in this video justifies shooting someone in the face three times. A woman using vulgar or mean language certainly does not justify killing the person who said it, or anyone else. Yet the right-wing continues to try to justify this killing on the basis of a smear campaign against Renee’s and her friend’s characters, and visual evidence that does not show what they assert. No doubt they are getting there cues from the Department of Injustice, and possibly being given video and other “evidence” by the same. It’s nothing but a coverup. Short of the Second Coming of Christ, this injustice has no chance of being vindicated, so corrupt is our executive branch under Trump.

There is no video evidence of her hitting him with her car, or trying to. She was trying to get away, likely because she was scared silly and receiving contradictory orders from the ICE goons that were present, who had no police authority over an American citizen, not even to stop her car. She committed no crime, she hurt no one. He shot her in the face 3 times after she had turned the car away from him. Then he ran away from the scene instead of staying to make a report to police, as any police officer should and would — but he is not a police officer, he is an agent of state terror. A crime will never be proved against him, because the administration is covering up the evidence and protecting him. This atrocity, sadly, may not be his last. If you believe in a police state with masked secret police executing people in the street, well, that’s on you. But God will not be mocked.

Regarding the killer leaving the scene before making making a report on the scene: I’ve seen that this has happened on a number of other occasions when DHS agents have shot people in the last months. i wouldn’t be surprised if the agents have been instructed by their superiors to do exactly this if they are involved in a shooting, so that the feds can take complete control of manipulating the “investigation” to their own ends, and protect their agents from being accountable for lawless actions.

The recent shootings in Portland, for instance; the agents did not report it to the police. You can find the outline of the events from multiple sources. The police were alerted to the incident by a phone call, not the agents involved; and then received a call for help from an apartment complex where the two who were shot were found. I remember there were similar incidents over the last months, but do not have the links you would want, and am not willing to do the footwork to get them for you. I’m not really concerned with proving anything to you, and my comment was not addressed to you; you are not interested in acknowledging that you are wrong about the atrocity against Renee Good, you’ve already convicted her in your mind even though she was the victim. You just want to count coup. I won’t play.

I am not MAGA. I despise Donald Trump. I was stuck playing a couple of pro-ams with him years ago, and during my time hosting a radio show on Armed Forces Radio, I referred to him—on air—as the “Twidiot-in-Chief.” The owner of this site was a frequent guest on that show. I was suspended for two weeks for that remark, which should tell you exactly where I stood then—and still stand now.
I posted a video. You responded with a conspiracy theory. I usually don’t engage with tin-foil-hat liberals, but I had time, and watching you slide into victimhood was predictable.
What’s dangerous about your position, Robert, is the inconsistency. You’d be the first person demanding answers if an unregistered sex offender moved in next door—and you’d be right to do so. Conservatives like me, and yes, even people you’d label MAGA, believe the same principle applies to undocumented individuals: we have a right to know who they are, where they’ve been, and whether they pose a risk. That’s not extremism—it’s basic civic responsibility.
I didn’t bully you. Michael and I have been close friends for nearly twenty years. I know how online debates work. I ran one of the most successful blogs of its era, took on controversial topics head-on, and shut down more than a few bad-faith actors simply by being persistent and factual. None of that applies to my initial comment here, which was measured and direct.

Once again, I responded to the video you posted at length, though I saw it from another source, not your post. There is nothing exculpatory for the killer in the video you posted, and I explained why through most of my post. My belief that the DOJ is covering up for the agent is not based on conspiracy theory; as soon as I read in the news that the DOJ was not working with local authorities in the investigation of the case, and was withholding information germane to the incident being investigated from the locals, it became glaringly obvious that they were not undertaking an honest investigation — I didn’t grow up in an Italian-American family without learning how mobsters behave in the face of accusations. This administration is behaving the way any organized crime family does, and that most emphatically includes the DOJ, and in far more than this incident.
Why are you talking about undocumented immigrants? The person killed was an American. This discussion is about an American killed by federal agents that are not accountable to anyone but the corrupt administration that has given them carte blanche to act like storm troopers. I’m sure we wouldn’t agree about many things regarding immigration, but I’m not an advocate of open borders. I am an advocate of treating all people humanely, and, if a thing cannot be done without treating them inhumanely, then it shouldn’t be done. It has become apparent to me that mass deportation cannot be done humanely, and so I don’t support it.
I apologize for calling you MAGA if you are not. You are using the same narrative they are about this incident, and I apparently jumped to an unwarranted conclusion. Calling you a bully was based on thinking you were MAGA, so I withdraw and apologize for that.

You explicitly refused to provide it and said you were not interested in proving anything. At that point, the discussion ended.
Disagreement is not gaslighting. Asking for evidence is not bullying. Declining to accept speculation framed as certainty is not mockery.
The exchange escalated from facts to accusations, then to theology and name-calling. That’s not argument — it’s deflection.

I will say this: I understand the agent was involved in an incident earlier in the year in which he was hit by a car while trying to detain someone. And, although from what I’ve read he was not following regulations in that incident, which prohibited him from the actions that resulted in his injury, and I don’t believe the work he’s doing should be sanctioned — I think ICE should be abolished — I can understand that proximity to a car that suddenly was moving in his direction could trigger memories and fears from the recent incident that injured him and put him on the defensive. But…he shot her in the head three times after the car was already moving away from him. And he moved toward the car to do that. And what I saw and heard from the video that you posted is that he was extremely angry. I heard far more anger in him than fear.
And I believe my response addressed the specifics of the video.
And I’ll leave it at that.

One last thing. For the sake of fairness I will acknowledge that my assertion about seeing a pattern of agents disappearing from shooting scenes was based mostly on things I read some time ago, without marking the sources. I was asserting too much, and became evasively defensive when you caught me out in my exaggeration. I will apologize for that.
But it is certain that the agent who killed Renee Good disappeared from the scene of the incident, quickly and with strong steps getting into an awaiting vehicle with a few other agents. It is on video that you can easily find if you are interested.
While I watched and read all the comments across the media about the shooting of this woman and the protests associated with it a memory from my youth came to me.
My father was a Civil War amateur scholar and one summer (in the 60s) we, he and I, travelled from our home near Seattle to the East Coast. Together we toured the various battle fields of the War. To this day, it is one of my better memories of a time with my father.
One of the battle locations that struck me was known as the “Picnic Battle,” (Bull Run) where the elites, congressmen, and civilians all came to watch the battle unfold.
What they experienced was the brutality and horrors of war; people torn apart by gunfire, mortars, cannons and brutal in close combat. These people on a summer picnic had to flee with the retreating soldiers for their own safety.
They never should have been there in the first place. War is not a media event nor is it entertainment.
As Michael often states, “you make your own application.”

In broader scope of things, in regards to Law Enforcement Officers in general, the biggest hammer to get Law Enforcement agencies to clean up its act would be to get rid of Qualified Immunity at all levels.
