Michael….praying for strength for your spirit, for encouragement for your soul.
Praying that even as you go through the process of rebuilding you are encouraged by the impact your blog has made on the lives of so many.
Praying that the frustrations and the disappointments of dealing with the need to rebuild will be met by the promises that God does not do anything in vain, and that you continue to be used even in this.
Praying that your hands will feel no pain as you must be having to type more than normal.
Praying that your body will be refreshed.
Praying that God will inspire you even in this, with new ideas and with new vigor if this is where he has told you to plant your feet.
Praying that this community will lift you before our Lord, that we will bring you through the roof before his eyes as those faithful friends did so long ago. That we will not be thwarted in praying for you and asking our Lord to heal you, to provide for you and to bless you.
I was really worried that Hopkins was going to find out he was ok and then I wasn’t going to have a way to harrass him any more cause the site was gone.
I can put up the banner and set up stuff. I’m relatively good with WP building.
Personally, I don’t think you need to try to get all the old content up right away. People can have conversations just like we’re doing now.
Put up old content in stages when you’re ready and able.
If you’re looking for help with the basic stuff let me know.
MichaelAdmin,
You are the most doggedly dedicated bloke I know. Gotta say it, we admire your tenacity! I’ve got NO skills in the WP stuff but I’ll be praying for you, BrianD, London and anyone else who has even a shred of ability to help.
Praying for you, Michael. And I’m with London. Don’t stress about rebuilding everything right now. Think of this as a clean slate. A chance to start fresh. 🙂
You have plenty of time to try and bring back old files later. The PP fam is happy to just be hanging out again. And you know what? Sometimes that’s enough.
FWIW – i’m sitting in front of a new iMac with Snow Leopard and all i needed was an up to date word processor – WOW – these things can take over for real life pretty fast…
i found a “mrfixit” up the chain of command at Apple’s support… he walked me thru a problem transferring files from the old computer to the new that i never, repeat never would have ferreted out on my own
my advice to Michael (as if he needed it) grab mrfixit’s offer
Em – it’s awesome when that happens. OS X is a great operating system with a nice visual interface, but with BSD UNIX under the hood. Using a simple UNIX command like “rsync” you can synchronize the files between computers so very easily.

Did this site get hacked again?
I’ve got the shakes from the PP withdrawals! 🙂
Kind of FIRST!
Michael,
I know you have been working hard and must be so exhausted! We have been praying for you!
We missed you – and everyone else too!
Michael, How are you doing?
Yes, Michael praying for you…hope my light-heartedness wasn’t taken wrong. You must be going through a lot right now. Miss you and the PP fam.
woo hoo.

You are loved, friend.
Amen to what Sarah said. I had some similar thoughts but Sarah articulates it so much better.
I don’t like to whine…but I need all the help I can get this time.
Prayers greatly appreciated.
Whew!!
I was really worried that Hopkins was going to find out he was ok and then I wasn’t going to have a way to harrass him any more cause the site was gone.
Michael, do you need help building?
Michael, I’ll be praying for you.
London,
This has been an emotionally draining weekend from so many angles…not much sleep and a ton of stress.
I need to marshal some strength.
Too much going on…
Michael, do God’s will. And what is best for your family.
We love you and your family.
BrianD,
Thank you very much.
Is there a way to post old content off the RSS feed like you did before?
…ditto to what BrianD said.
So is that a yes or a no? 😉

London,
I think I’ve got it …it’s just a lot of work and the install is a disaster.
I may grab you for some help soon, though.
Ok

Peace to you, brother.
Michael, Welcome back!! 🙂
London, Fee Fi Fo Fum I’ll pay you when you’re done!!

BrianD,
That works!

Continued prayers,
For strength, grace, wisdom, patience, perseverance, diligence,
peace, rest, healing, energy, and Gods guidance in all things.
Michael,
Prayers are ascending on your behalf.

FWIW – i’m sitting in front of a new iMac with Snow Leopard and all i needed was an up to date word processor – WOW – these things can take over for real life pretty fast…
a little whining on your part is fine, Michael. Good to have ya back!!!
Michael….what His Kid said!
Praying for refreshment, for confirmation of God’s direction and for provision.
I am very glad you did not give up… this is a gathering for many people….
BD,
Every time we have to do this it gets harder…but still worth it to be in this community.
Michael, Let’s work on a plan so it’s not so hard if there is a next time.
mrfixit…that would be awesome.
You tell me what to do and I’ll do it.
