“Trans Men Erase women” is a silly headline.
First of all, a “trans man” would not be competing with women. He’d be competing with men. A “trans man” is someone born female and now identify as male.
Secondly, no one can “erase” another human being.
“Wives submit to your husbands as to the Lord. ”
Three things I tell my church:
1 – Any man who quotes that to control his wife is too dumb to help
2 – Men when God addresses the woman mind your own business and pay attention to his words to you.
3 – Remember that the woman is submitting to the man’s love not his will. Love gives itself.
As for the article about Martina there is a very unintended consequence happening. Liberals are constantly pointing out to progressives the areas of conflict. The so-called “intellectual dark web” is littered with voices that are speaking out against progressives and their culture wars where they deny science in the name of ideology. I am heartened by the vigorous academic rebuttals being given to politically correct ideologues. YouTube with long-form interviews and discussions is superseding television and even radio as formats where these things can be discussed.
Nowhere is censorship more indulged that among the academia of universities and among the politically correct dominated media. That stuff will collapse under its own inferiority and eventually under the load of casualties they will create trying to save the world from western civilization.

I’d love to see someone other than JD Hall sort out the Clayton Jennings thing. Jennings is very much of this era he is what DT is to populism and AOC is to progressivism. He says whatever he thinks without regard to cost or accuracy. He is that “I don’t give a damn” voice of the aggrieved victimizer who has become a victim.
I actually never heard of him before his rant of last week. Then I see him going after Hall and equating Hall’s nonsense with responsibility for Caner, that was a red flag. So, point us to a sorting out summary or grant us yours. Is Jennings the devil, the saint or both?
Or just ignore it … he may just be today’s dog-pile forgotten in tomorrow’s news cycle. This 15 minutes of shame thing is remarkable.

I have seen only a couple of things about Jennings, but I just want to say I am glad my church practices closed communion.
I have seen mothers instruct their misbehaving children to “say you’re sorry.” The little perp, with alk the sincerity of a politician says, ” I’m sorry” and the doting parent beams.
When we confess, God is a little more discerning than that. So?
So, confessing and taking closed communion doesn’t impress me that much… I know too many phonies out there, playing church with no fear of God, no matter their denomination…
yes, but we (Lutherans with closed communion) are all hypocrites who confess the same thing – we wouldn’t want hypocrites who confess all manner of variant thoughts mixing their hypocrisy with ours. 🙂

The article on the UMC vote calls for repentance however, all the repentance that is called for is by those who reject same sex marriage and ordination; There is no actual clarity that repentance might be needed on the other side.

My contention with Jennings has nothing to do with P&P…it will be an alternative to sourcing them to understand the issues.
Josh, to a Lutheran not irrelevant at all. If the scoundrel showed up with his Lutheran mom, he could come to the rail with his arms crossed and receive a blessing – but not body & blood.
Now you would have to commune him because no one in their right mind would bar a person based on social media reports.
I don’t expect him to show up in Patterson Springs.
