A note about “Linkathon!”…I don’t necessarily agree with every article…I don’t even read every article.
The whole point is to get us thinking and hopefully discussing our lives together in Christ.
If you find something we should read…post it in the comments.
Gender wars… *sigh* I read something recently that 20% of Millennials and GenZ identified as fluid, non-binary, etc… if true, that’s end of species in a few generations.
A poster on Quora likened it to the formerly maligned left-handed-ism. That it’s now acceptable as being left handed was suppressed not to long ago. My mom was Silent Gen, and her father marched down to her school in the late 40s or early 50s and told them to knock it off and they did. Is it really the same?
The same quora poster rejected the social Contagion theory, yet IMO, the fact that it’s a national conversation demonstrates that it’s social Contagion. Was left-handedness ever? No.
The Greg Laurie article… He could have written it word for word the same in 1978. I bet if I did some digging, I’d find his 3 reasons America isn’t in the book of Revelation is from an old Chuck Smith Sr sermon. I’m sure his identifying China and Russia in The Revelation is based on 70s material.
Fundamentalism = Never growing in understanding, no nuance, zero mystery. Give us that old time Dispensationalism.
TNV,
I think you’re right…there is a social contagion quality to the whole mess.
Terry,
I think Greg must get paid by the piece, thus he has to say something every day.
