The hate pouring out from that humanist on the tax the churches article almost melted my monitor.

1. The guys is woefully wrong on a couple key facts..

2. The premise is self-defeating. If religion is becoming less relevant, there will be less churches, less pastors to make less of an impact on the tax code.

3. The comments on charity were quite jaw dropping. Others can draw their own opinions but in mine it seems clear that even if a church is doing great good for the poor, the poor ought to get their help from the government damn it. (Probably written from a guy who never has had to qualify for public services in his life)

4. The guy is legal director of the American Humanist Association…which is a tax exempt organization.

Not that I expect much from people who dedicate their lives to direct hostility towards God – an effort far beyond even groups like the ACLU or Separation of Church and State.

But it still is something to see in print.

Now I really admire this, I really do, this is how the church should work. I wont go into how I always dealt with the elderly even when they would be very critical of me, I actually learned a lot from it and always appreciated the input from someone who had more experience than myself. Just goes to show what a spiritual piece of trash I am. Booting people is much easier, it makes others afraid and toe the line and it allows the leader to have full control. That is the most effective way to do it. That is always good.
