Please pray for the folks evacuated from the Dog Head Fire in New Mexico. We have friends who’s house in the infrared image from last night shows the fire only 100 yards from their home. At least 24 homes lost so far….Thank you for praying for containment and God’s blessings.
praying, Linnea… few things are as draining as having a wildfire at your door, whether you just make evacuation preparations and wait or, worse, lose your home…
praying for all those under wildfire threat at the moment… these are strange times
My sister in law was in the same boat with the Rodeo–Chediski Fire in 2002. That fire burned 720 sq miles of forest but was stopped just outside of the town she lived in. These things can be scary for sure.
Thank you for your prayers… I was in a meeting with someone from the fire area on Thursday. He was calm and composed. At the end of the meeting he said he’d just gotten a text from his wife that she and their 4 grandkids were evacuating the home he had built with his own hands. The items that had the greatest value were the paintings his daughter had done 🙂
Was still percolating on KevinH’s post from earlier this week.

Linnea,
Will do…few things are more terrifying than forest fires.

Interesting story on an Orthodox Synod attempt.
One of the main reasons given for the Russian Orthodox Church pulling out was a “disagreement over seating.”
