Remember the last time you were really sick (or had a surgery) and got better?

    I sure do!

Remember how you were excited to get out, walk, exercise and see people?

Some day, hopefully soon, that will be each of us!

    Individually and collectively

    Amen Jtk.

  3. Yeah Jtk.

We can still get out in California, despite our governor hinting at declaring martial law (and answer to a question no one asked… not helpful!).

I caught the 1st and 2nd graders (combo class) making poopy jokes by massager in Google classroom. I intervened when I heard inappropriate laughter from the other room, then their teacher did and cancelled the 7PM video chat. Busted!

Bay Area, we were already shut down and the rest of the state followed a few days later. We are still set to resume April 7th, but who knows at this point?

WA state shutdown of restaurants, bars, gyms, etc. Churches also shuttered. One of the fringe benefits of Seattle having been ground zero for MHC corporate, at least, is that when the Driscoll empire collapsed a lot of people with the tech savvy to develop virtual church services scattered throughout the Sound. So that means a variety of smaller churches can do online services to comply with the recent ban on gatherings.

Take-out dining is acceptable … although given the circumstances now seems like a good time to cook your own meals at home. Fortunately between a short stint in food service and living with family who worked in food service I can stay put and go a while.

There are folks who are claiming that what Inslee and other governors are doing is unconstitutional and a violation of freedom of assembly. Since I just had to scuttle my plans to attend guitar recitals I am skeptical about this specific take. There may be fewer places in the U.S. than Puget Sound in which to go tromping about just to prove you can attend a church service. The two or three gathered can be done at home for the guys who are sounding the trumpet about this stuff.

Elective and dental surgeries are banned. This is a set of short term actions but some friends are anticipating that WA will go into lockdown and it’s a matter of “when” and not “if”.

I think this quote might be worth sharing… Read an interview with James Caviezel regarding his role as Jesus Christ, in which he states, ” I got to play the greatest superhero that ever was”.
Amen, James – you did indeed
