Changes should be thoughtful, purposeful, and mindful of the flexibility of the flock.
How long does it take a new senior pastor to make new changes in a church?
Depends on the transition.
If it’s a planned transition major changes can come as soon as the next Sunday.
Unplanned transitions take a bit more care because the congregation is already rattled…

Changes from heterodoxy to orthodoxy are incredibly rare. Changes from orthodoxy to heterodoxy or worse are fairly common.
