Add to that the fact that many who do identify as Christian are unregenerate…practitioners of American folk religion…

Many (if not most) of the Nones see American “Christianity” as a crock and decided that they want no part of it. The “Godless” atheists and the Nones have a better grasp the Bible and Christianity and the Fruits of the Spirit than the vast majority of churchgoers. After all, why should someone follow Christ because it is apparent from his erstwhile followers it makes you to an even bigger a**hole, less charitable, and so on. That satellite was hit with another meteor in 2024 (something the article does not address).
When the election of their Orange Dear Leader, the Evangelicals are even bigger a**holes, even more fanatic, and even more devoted to their Lord and Savior Trump this time around. And depending what he does, the blowback on so-called “Christians” will be even harder when the dust settles. I predict the Nones will reach 40 to 45% by the end of this decade.

I follow some of the people defending the National Park Service and other agencies that deal with history…and they are trying to rewrite it…”whitewash” would be a better word…
