In his great wisdom Reformed Pope Pete Hegseth has determined that deism is not a religion for DOD purposes; I wonder what Jefferson and Franklin and many of their Revolutionary contemporaries would have to say about that.
And I wonder what all the LDS members who’ve been de-listed as Christian will have to say about that. The U.S. government, including the DOD, should not be involved in distinguishing Christian from non-Christian religions; it’s not competent to define Christian doctrine, and it should butt out.
And another thing: the DOD has no business de-listing as religions 175 organizations — as it has — that have federal tax exempt status as religions. If there are not enough resources for chaplaincy of all those religions, that’s one thing; but if the federal tax-exempt list includes them as religions, there should be no DOD list of religions without them on. It’s simple. We don’t need the DOD trying to impose some outlier Reformed definition of Christian orthodoxy on the military for any purpose. We all know what’s going on here: American Taliban is trying to take over the military.
The military is the Marsolian sect of Roman planet worship. lol
