  4. One of my poor dogs is not exactly the brightest bulb in the pack.
She heard a knock on TV and thought someone was at the door and ran to the door barking.
Now, that in itself isn’t bad, but then I decided to mess with her and knocked on the wall. She continued barking even when I actually got right by her face and knocked to show her that it was me.

Time for states to either put on their big boy pants and exercise civil disobedience on this matter and tell the Feds “No!” or for states to pull out of the marriage business altogether. It is obvious that States rights mean nothing to the Federal government under this administration.

  6. Hey Michael,
I have been seeing an interesting hawk in a field near where I work. It is a Harrier, not sure of what type ’cause my Mom and Dad had to identify it from behavior.
It uses wind currents to pretty much hover over a spot only 4 or 5 feet from the ground.
Here is a video of a Northern Harrier hunting.

That’s a totally different behavior than we see with the red tails.
    Fascinating stuff.
We watched a Coopers hawk run down a rat on the ground the other day…mean birds, those are.

My chihuahua pretty much hates our hens (their beaks are at her eye level) but whenever a hawk comes to the yard, she ferociously chases it away (best she can, being quite short) and after it’s gone (usually because I have squirt it with the hose) she goes over and tenderly noses each hen, making sure they are all present, accounted for, and safe. Then she goes back to hating them again.
