Thanking The Father that my son and grandson made it safely back to San Juan island after visiting my granddaughter in Northern CA.

Some here may know that I’m a singer and voice teacher. Over the last several months, I’ve experienced increasing hoarseness, sore throat, voice cracking and loss of range. A certain amount of that is expected as we age, but not like what I have going on. A few days ago, I had my vocal cords scoped, and one of them has hemorrhaged. There is also scar tissue, scabbing and bowing, which affects cord closure, which explains why sometimes when I’m in the middle of holding a note or even speaking a word, my voice will just cut out.

I have an appointment toward the end of March with a specialist who works with public speakers and singers. In the meantime, I have to really cut back on voice use, which will be quite a balancing act considering that this is how I make my living. Sure would appreciate prayer.

As a singer who’s had voice lessons by cherished teachers, I will definitely be praying for you, Captain Kevin. May the Lord deliver you from all anxieties about the future as you take the necessary time to rest your voice.
