Prayer & Praise
Dear Father always near us,
may your name be treasured and loved,
may your rule be completed in us-
may your will be done here on earth in
just the way it is done in heaven.
Give us today the things we need today,
and forgive us our sins and impositions on you
as we are forgiving all who in any way offend us.
Please don’t put us through trials,
but deliver us from everything bad.
Because you are the one is charge,
and you have all the power, and the glory too is all yours-forever-
which is just the way we want it!

Please pray for a friend’s son and daughter, who he recently discovered are heavily involved in drugs, and for the family to be able to cope with this crisis. Please pray that the whole family would come to know the Lord. Thanks
You got it.
Remember how I was asking for prayer for work? Due to bizarre weather for aboua month, I was barely able to get 25 hours of work a week. Literally over night, everything changed and now I have a new request, funny as it may sound.
I have not been able to be here much because I have been slammed with work. I have such a packed week coming up that I actually fear it. My last week ended with loads of overtime and the list of stuff I have next week is even bigger for important customers.
I am probably going to miss some of my sons baseball games, among other things. Please pray I can keep my head on straight, and not get sloppy trying to get stuff as fast as possible. Thanks!
Reuben
Got you covered here in Oregon

Praying for Linnea and Rueben.
Praying here for Linnea’s friend and family. Lord have mercy.
Reuben, I’m thankful for God’s provision for you and will be praying you will surprise yourself by how well you handle the stress and amount of work, as you commit each day into His care.
Praying for Linnea…I know how those situations are.
Praying for Reuben. Our work has sped up also. Gearing up for the summer and in particular Labor Day. Only two more weeks at this job though and then packing up the U-Haul and back to MS.
Praying for the needs today and Happy Mother’s Day to all the ladies of PP!
Linnea,
May brother and sister see Jesus as did all of us Jesus People.
And may the whole family come to Christ through them!
Reuben,
May your sons play well and may you always know that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. His grace is sufficent at such times as these. May abundance come your way and may you witness the hand of a loving Lord at work in your life this coming week.
Praying for Linnea’s friend and the whole family. Such a tough thing.
Reuben…praying for the work to even out and not be all-or-nothing. Praying for your clarity of mind and efficiency and that God would make a way for you to be at some of the games…I know how important that is to you and your both both.
Today is our last day of school. First year of homeschool for all the boys…I am already looking at our curriculum for next year and excited. The boys have done really well, but I know we have some changes to make to try to work better next year.
One of the things that has changed the most with doing this is not having time to be online as much. I can drop on FB and catch up…but to engage in conversation is more difficult. Hoping this summer I can be around here more.
At 11:00 am we are having a memorial service for a man who took his own life, so prayers for his wife and the family left behind are appreciated.
Pray too that God’s word as shared through my remarks will do a great work of comfort, and the whole service will glorify the Lord.
As for me, as difficult as it may seem, this sort of ministry is still an honor to be able to provide – especially in contrast with a lot of the recent nonsense that has had to occupy my time and energy.
Blessings to the Phoenix Preacher community.
Steve…I have been out all day today, but praying that as your night settles in that God will be gracious to this man’s family. Praying for peace in the silence of the night, for comfort and for wisdom as you minister to this family in their grief. What a tough thing. Lifting them up…and you…as I head off to bed.
Thank you all for prayers for my friend and his family.
Reuben…praying you’ll hold up!
SteveW….praying for the family that lost their husband and dad.
Sarah…I know that “homeschool is finished for the summer feeling!” You ran the race, and you did it with grace and finesse 🙂
Steve, praying.
Thank you for your prayers. One prayer I offer and hope for is the image of the discovery of her husband that night fades away from his wife’s mind.
This will probably get lost with all the action on the other thread, but I just found out that the pastor I was closest to at my previous church just lost his oldest child, a 24 year old daughter, to a car accident last night. She was serving the Lord by teaching at a school in the Dominican Republic. Please lift up he and his family at this tragic time. Thank you.
Kevin…I am so sorry to hear this. You are right that it got lost…Praying this morning for your pastor and his family. Lord…be gracious to them.
Thank you Sarah.
Here is a short article about the situation if anyone else happens across this thread and would be so inclined to read: http://www.nbcnews.com/id/51893802/ns/local_news-philadelphia_pa/
I remember Megan as such a joyous and wonderful girl. It’s been several years since I last saw her, but all indications are that she grew into a joyous and wonderful young woman. And she came from an awesome family. This is just so heartbreaking.
Kevin, just checking in, the prayer thread is always first for me. Praying for the family and for you also.
Please pray for Dave, whose 21 year old son shot himself last night. The son had a fatal illness which he’s survived since 15 years old after many experimental treatments at universities across the world.
The family suffered another great loss 6 years ago when the mother/wife left the family, probably as a result of stress and schizophrenia. Please pray that God would sustain and send His angels to comfort Dave, his younger daughter and his older daughter. The family are believers.
Lord, have mercy.
praying for Dave and his family
Thank you– we’re devastated, as I know the family is…
Praying
So sorry…so much heartache and tragedy….
Oh Linnea… God grant the family strength to come through this tragedy. There are no words…
So sorry to hear this, Linnea…praying for the family and for you all as well.
Mercy and grace LORD!
A bit of praise. I just saw this video on FB. It is of Chinese Christians getting bibles for the first time.
