Saeed Abedini Wants Some “Help”…
Saeed Abedini is evidently broke and none too happy about it.
In the last week he has used his Facebook page to attack Franklin Graham, Russell Moore, TBN, Greg Laurie, Jay Sekulow, George Wood, and others for not ‘helping” him as he wants to be helped.
The closest I can come to parsing his barely coherent ravings is that “help” involves cash and a platform.
Abedini also accuses Graham of using him…a claim that may have a bit of merit if not posted along with accusing people of being controlled by the ‘spirit of Jezebel” and other such rants.
He has also claimed that Calvary Chapel pastor Jeryl Hagerman and his wife Merrily are suing him.
They are not.
While Saeed was imprisoned in Iran, the Hagermans did an incredible work and raised $200,000 to buy a house for Naghmeh Abedini and her children.
Because Saeed and Naghmeh separated, the money was never spent for the purpose it was gathered for.
The money is sitting in bank account today.
Naghmeh has not asked for the money… Saeed has.
The Hagerman’s are simply asking the court to guide them in how to disburse the funds… an honorable and honest way to handle the mess.
Abedini suggests in one post that all the personalities are conspiring to keep him quiet…
“But in the other hand I felt there is a group who are United with each other who DONT WANT ME TO SPEAK AND GET CONNECTED TO MY SUPPORTERS WHO ARE HUNDREDS MILLIONS. ( maybe U.S. Government or FBI of Obama’s time was involve . I don’t know ).”
Yes, I think it’s pretty obvious that Saeed needs help…
Saeed mentioned in an older comment on his Facebook page, that Franklin Graham had given him a job working in his foundation’s printing department. However, Saeed felt this work was beneath him and refused the employment. Evidently Saeed was not feeling the bite of hunger at that time.
Graham also gave him at least 20,000.00 for living expenses…and I don’t think the government gave Abedini all those new suits he sported after his release…
Just curious, was he this crackers before he wilfully broke Iranian law for Jesus?
I think I answered my own question.
100’s of millions of supporters? Wow, that’s a lot. If just half of those 100’s of millions gave him $1.00 he would have um, um…. a lot of money. Saeed is a full blown idiot! I am waiting for our brother Josh to respond to this thread 🙂
Nancy Slauson: Yes, I read that, too.
He also said in a more recent post that he was forced to “work like a Mexican” in Alaska last summer at a Marriage Retreat for Wounded Warriors and spouses.
Personally, I would be happy to be out of an Iranian prison.
He is starting to sound like Alex Jones
Somebody please send this guy an adult diaper. If you know his address, enter it at Depends.com. (I entered my wife’s contact info as a joke, which went over initially like a lead balloon.)
Good thing she has a sense of humor, as I can’t fit in the Chihuahua’s dog house.
Sad situation. The Hagerman’s are good folks who tried to help from good hearts. What a mess, I feel bad for them. Wise move to have the courts guide them so they don’t accidentally make a mistake with the money. Hopefully the court directs them to give the money back to donors or to buy a home for Nagmeh and the kids.
I’ve learned some hard lessons, so I’ll pray for Saeed and that God helps him come to his senses vs. mocking him. He seems to have some issues and is not beyond redemption, but he seems to be in need of repentance and is not in a good state of mind right now.
Alex Jones doesn’t sound as looney as these posts from Saeed.
Alex you’re absolutely right.
Having been where he’s at the first step he needs to do is repent, then hock the computer. Evidently it’s an access to all kinds of trouble for him.
I repented, and the next day my child dumped a bucket of water on my macbook.
It was so good 🙂
That’s great to hear about the Hagerman’s heart and integrity.
Covered, I’m trying not to talk about the Christian “stars” anymore. I’m learning that so much of it is a sham. I mean, we all knew the 80’s televangelists were hucksters, but it goes mush deeper than that. With the internet, everyone can have the reach of 80’s televangelist. I’m trying just to let God deal with them, and mind my own local church. If these guys can live with themselves, nothing I say is going to help anyway.
I saw this on FB yesterday and wondered if the story would make it here to PP.
This guy needs more help than he knows….perhaps (and I’m not joking here) there was some kind of messing around with his mind.
He sure doesn’t seem to be able to see reality clearly.
Saeed’s comments wreak of narcissism. Pure and simple. Doesn’t wash well with the humility we are to put on as believers.
Dear Lord, PLEASE don’t let those who have giving hearts fall for this man’s lies. May Your Spirit do a new work in Saeed. Let Him see Your kindness, and may it lead him to repentance. For Your glory. Amen.
You should be aware that Saeed’s mental state was not caused by imprisonment in Iran. Long before he was arrested he was, as his former Idaho pastor said, “clinically delusional.” At one time in the Boise church he even started wearing long robes, grew long unkempt hair and went around acting like he was “the Elijah to come,” trying to boss people around.
The incredible thing here isn’t that he is a guy with mental problems, but that the Church is so compromised that he managed to make his way up the ladder of Christian corporate success with the help of his scheming, complicit ex-wife, who is so skilled at this that she has played the victim card, is keeping quiet, and is hoping to come out of this smelling like roses, when she was a major deceiver for years, standing before thousands (and millions via the media) and knowingly lying.
Pat, is it possible that Nagmeh was threatened/coerced into that role?
Captain Kevin @16
Amen
I agree with your statement he needs help. Maybe all of us that have posted can ask God to help him.
I believe that would be what the Lord Jesus would want us to do instead of making making fun of him. The whole situation saddens me. Many have tried to help him. I believe the best thing we can do is pray for everyone involved . Making fun of people is never going to “restore anyone”. Only Jesus can do that.
We have ALL sinned and fallen short.
One thing that makes me raise my eybrows is how much contempt he and his current/former suporters have for Obama. Obama went out of his way to get this guy. If anything they should thank the guy.
