The Apple Watch
Yesterday Apple launched it’s newest technology, the Apple Watch.
It was the headline on every news show and it blew up Twitter and Facebook.
Everyone was talking about it.
Most of us haven’t seen one in person.
We haven’t worn one.
It’s not even finished yet and it won’t be available until next year.
Despite this, people are reviewing it and forming opinions about it, based on what little they have seen and a few demos.
Some folks are excited about it’s potential, some have already rejected it.
None of us can make a valid judgment on it…it’s a work in progress.
We don’t know how this is going to turn out…we are judging prematurely.
We make the same judgments about people…and ourselves.
We judge and are judged…some are excited about foreseen potential, some have been condemned already.
We’re all works in progress and our Creator isn’t finished with us yet.
“For we are his workmanship,”
(Ephesians 2:10 ESV)
The difference is that when God is done with you and me, He promises a perfect product.
Better than even Apple can make.
Just thought I’d remind you…and me.
Make your own application…
Thank you for the reminder Michael. He does make beautiful things out of the dust!
I want to see the beauty in others the way He sees them. It’s darn hard sometimes.
“It was the headline on every news show and it blew up Twitter and Facebook.”
Hmm, I missed it – I heard they were coming out yesterday with a new IPhone
But a note about social media – it does look like they are becoming the modern day lynch mob. Done with Driscoll, they have now turned their attention to Roger Goodell.
A funny group they are.
When Jesus was warning people about rejecting a thing before they knew what it was he used the phrase “wisdom is vindicated by her children.” So be sure you know how it turns out.
Concerning Driscoll… he was made by the media and he will be unmade by the same. Further, he lived by the bus and will die by the bus.
Buy Apple stock. These new products will invigorate the Apple Nation.
I heard about the watch on our local as well as national news. Saw it on FB and twitter as well.
I’m sure it will sell extremely well.
I’m also sure I will not be buying one.
A bigger story is the new Apple pay. I’m barely used to using my phone to check into airlines, not sure ill ever get used to the idea of using biometrics to use it as a credit card. At least until security around those things is a lot tighter.
Gosh, I feel so excluded! I hadn’t heard about it, thus am not in the ‘everybody’ ‘everyone’ category. hahahahah Such a rebel…or a loser. Or both.
….. Eventually, ‘this mortal shall put on immortality. This terrestrial shall put on celestial”.
Very good, thought provoking article, Michael.
So have you already pre-ordered yours in hot pink?
😛
Sorry, this MYOA is not on par with a kitty MYOA. Apple watches have absolutely no appeal to me. Not even interested in an any application they might have. 😀
Reuben,
Hot pink brings out my eyes… 🙂
Nonnie,
If I get one for Miss Kitty, I’ll try again… 😉
It looks awful. Will adults actually wear that?
