Typical CC response. Just pretend that there isn’t a problem and maybe it will go away. So antithetical to their teaching. Another example of their “Do as I say, not as I do” hypocrisy.
Don’t get too disillusioned…we’re getting some real traction right now…
Listened to the live call in show on KWVE yesterday and before the broadcast they advertised books to buy from KP @ Gospel for Asia.
Thank you , Charles…I’ll try to pull that up.
Maybe some of that easy jesus money ($60 mill) was filtered back to the giving cc pastors as revolving tax-free benevolent “gifts”???
It’s always a win-win deal with tax-free jesus money right?
@5
Very unlikely. While our church has not contributed to GFA, I doubt…and for a number if reasons… that type of action is taking place. From my own experience, mission organizations see American churches as a source of revenue(and for some good and biblical reasons). They are not concerned with providing much incentive such as you suggest for giving, they don’t need to go down that road.
@5 i would hate to see the world the way you do
One day, sooner or later, you’ll too see that it IS a money game for most…. that IS what I see!
The “honorariums” is a confirmed scam they run with the Jesus money to pay each other to speak at each others CC franchises.
I think the GFA slush fund is probably benefitting Yohannan and his cronies and greasing the palms of local politicians etc….and probably a slush fund for other US govt. entities doing intelligence in those nations as well.
I am kicking myself and wondering how I could be so stupid to believe 100% of my donations went ‘to the field’?? Of course, the endorsement of the CC pastor had everything to do with that. Yes, they are culpable.

Tru dat bro… been there and done that!

“If history repeats itself, and the unexpected always happens, how incapable must Man be of learning from experience.”
George Bernard Shaw
The reason why I post these quotes isn’t to slam the first (because all of us are guilty) it is to emphasize the need to spend a lifetime of hard learning. Learning through teacher, books, leaders and life in general.
As soon as I read the first post I was reminded that Keith Green, the singer song writer, said the same thing over three decades ago. He would be invited into a church to give a concert, a “special” offering would be taken for him and he would get just a few pennies on the dollar contributed. When he asked why he received only a few dollars from the “special” offering were actually given to him the reply was, “you received our standard guest speaker amount.”
This doesn’t tell me to avoid or wack on the evil of the big churches at all. The Spirit of God says to me through this history to not do the same. It also says to me to not go to these special concerts and to give directly to where the money will do some good.
I’m capable of learning; now will I do it?
