Michael, what a great article you dug up. Quite solid info! Sad how many believers have jettisoned these guidelines.
That’s a very good list. It’s not at all the same list I that an Evangelical pastor posted on my FB page today. Especially the part about not making things “Biblical” that the Bible never addresses. For myself, I find many moral issues addressed plainly in the Scriptures.

Kevin H found that…I had to smile though…I actually subscribed to the Pentecostal Evangel in 1984…it had become the house publication of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries…
We pick and choose which “moral issues” the Bible talks about…it talks far more about the poor and the stranger than gay people…

When I was in high school I attended an AoG church…I’ve always been a reader and I read
the Evangel “religiously.” 😀
So much different than what we have been hearing-and so refreshing!
