Sadly , several big names in the “Orthodox Industrial Complex” (bloggers and podcast hosts for AFR and OCN ) are closing ranks around Hank, sweeping his past under the rug and treating him as some sort of “celebrity” who has authority to speak to Orthodox people via radio/internet/ local parish speaking engagements , even though Hank is a neophyte .
Spend a few years living an Orthodox life as a layman , then see if the Church recognizes that you have a call to ministry. Maybe , maybe not . But his nearly 30 years as self-anointed evangelical Protestant “Bible Answer Man” doesn’t qualify him to be a teacher in the Orthodox Church (or on Orthodox radio/podcasts on AFR or OCN) .
I guess you’re not interested in my CRI story even if it does give an eye-witness account of how it all came down and answers your speculations as to how Hank took the reins of CRI – since you deleted the link I posted to my testimony. Maybe it’s because of my stand against Eastern Orthodoxy — OK, I get it.
