    Let me paraphrase one of your statements: The problem is that we [the church]measure success by numbers, God measures success by faithfulness. “It is a reflection of our economic values that we have baptized and called Christian”.

    Essentially we have traded in the mind of Christ for a modernistic sense of values that does not understand the concept of what is truly virtuous. That was swept away by evangelicalism long ago. It is a form methodological syncretism that sheds light on what we truly believe. You cannot divorce practice (philosophy) from doctrine (theology); they are not two distinct worlds, but they are inseparable from each other.
