Collect Of The Day: 03/22/2025
Heavenly Father, you have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you: Look with compassion upon the heartfelt desires of your servants, and purify our disordered affections, that we may behold your eternal glory in the face of Christ Jesus; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
I’m working on identifying my disordered affections, which I think is anything that interferes with loving anything/anyone more than God.
I love the term “disordered affections”.
Affections in the wrong order…
I’m learning my primary disordered affection is comfort…I can’t tolerate being taken out of my comfort zones.
This may be the reason the Lord never lets me get too comfortable…
