2012. That’s the last date of any fab actions?

  2. Michael says:

    That’s when they incorporated…

Funny you should pull that up as, coincidentally, I did the same search the day the CCA letter came out.

Even for a non- profit corporation, one is still required to file certain forms with the California Franchise Tax Board, including but not limited to a statement of domestic non-stock corporation (Essentially listing the address of the board members and officers, etc.) and annual tax filing. Here it is clear that CCA has not filed the required forms since it has been suspended for failure to file such forms, apparently commencing in 2014.

So the state’s remedy is to suspend the corporation, effectively denying it its protection of its directors due to its status as a corporation. It’s likely you or I can incorporate using the name Calvary Chapel Association (which when I noticed this I was tempted to do out if a spiteful heart), but realized that CCA could go on to incorporate in pretty much any other state.

That’s what you get when pastors run the show. Bad witness, but fairly easily remedied.

That was incredible customer service Sheck… 🙂

    Thank you!

  5. Jeff Sheckstein says:

Decent of you to not show Don’s address, but it is in the public arena. That’s why it pays to engage an agency to act as agent for service of process or use a PO Box so one can maintain some privacy.

  6. Martin Luther's Disciple says:

There is a good chance they have incorporated in another state for very sound reasons – just as many businesses flee CA.
Also, the directors may be protected under other corporate umbrellas.

  7. Michael says:

Thank you for noting my professional smearing. 🙂

  8. Jeff Sheckstein says:

God will give me a poor Yelp rating for my customer service I if I failed to timely respond.

  9. Michael says:

It’s supposed to be a shell corp…no assets, though that may have changed…well, I know it changed, but that’s beside the point. 🙂

  10. Jeff Sheckstein says:

Redacting Michael. Schmear is what you do with creme cheese on an onion bagel, nice and thick, not like the Gentiles do.

  11. Michael says:

Now I have to see if I have those ingredients available…I’m hungry again. 🙂

Amazing! One more reason to join a legitimate denomination with actual compliant tax status.

My friend keeps telling me I’s make a great Methodist…

  13. Anon says:

Methodists? Check this pastor’s writings out…

  14. Paige says:

Jeff’s #10 is just awesome. “not like the Gentiles do” Ahahahahahha! “Schmear”. Ha!
Would that be ‘the whole schmear”? for the win.

    Thanks Anon! =)

  16. Anon says:

    You’re welcome.

I’m not a Methodist but I’ve been greatly helped and encouraged by some of Pastor Hamilton’s writings.

the same power that rose Jesus from the grave lives in us.

come on folks it’s not about “a better denomination” or “systematic theology”

simply Jesus, let’s act like HE’s in us.

    little children love one another

  20. Gregory, well figuring out Jesus without some historical church input (denominations) or some systematic study, one may come to the conclusion that Jesus is best examples in me when others hear me calling my enemies vile names and picking up my whip to destroy others … as Jesus would do.

  21. dusty says:

But God says we are not little children…drinkings only milk…but eating meat….the Word

  22. John 20:29 says:

    enemies? we have enemies?
i thought that it was just bad manners… politically incorrectedness 🙂

  23. John 20:29 says:

amen to #21… “desire the sincere milk of the Word that you MAY GROW…” grow to stand – stand graciously, but stand nonetheless, eh?

  24. dusty says:

Capt keven, how have you been ? Still praying for your health.

As I lay here convalescing, and not to get off topic, but did you ever set aside for a post a memorial to the passing of Bobby Vee? Also, my sources state that apparently Ray Bentley has had enough of the shenanigans of CCA and has also resigned from its Council.

  26. Michael says:

Jerry Lee hated Bobby Vee so he’s been dead to me since ’68… 🙂

Good info about Bentley…I expect more before the day is out…

  27. I lived in France 1960-63
Bobby Vee was almost as big as Elvis there. I used to translate his lyrics into French for my friends.
Ah the things you do when you are 12

  28. Jeff Sheckstein says:

Gees Michael, you are acting just like your namesake, Michael Corleone when he told Fredo, “your nothing to me now…” “Rubber Ball” is right up there with “Let It Be,” “All the Young Dudes” and other classics, doncha think?

  29. John 20:29 says:

well this is my kind of music – something with a profound message 🙂 (hope i got the right one)

  30. John 20:29 says:

    nope – this one
