Free Saeed
Today, like every Wednesday, we will remember Saeed Abedini.
We do more than just remember, however…we stand with him by using our social media to advocate for his release.
We ask that you change your Facebook profile picture to his and that you “like”  the “Free Saeed” Facebook page and participate in some of the activities that promote his cause.
We ask…that you remember him and his family in prayer…and that you refuse to give up on efforts to secure his release.
From his wife, Naghmeh,
Update on Saeed:
Today Saeed’s father was able to have an in person visit with Saeed!
It was a good time of fellowship and prayer. It was also hard for Saeed realizing that Jacob’s birthday is coming up soon (March 17). He got to see Jacob’s birthday invitation and it broke his heart that he might not be able to make it for his birthday. These milestones are always bitter sweet and the reminder of the years going by. But Saeed is standing strong in his faith and counts it all joy to be suffering for Christ.
Saeed wants you all to know that He can feel all of your prayers and that it crosses prison walls! The Lord has been ministering to Him and strengthening him despite the harsh prison conditions.
Finally, with Iranian New year/holiday coming up, Saeed will most likely not be able to have visitors for the next month. Please pray for Saeed and also for me as I will not be able to get updates.
Love you all!
Naghmeh
From the 5th;
Update on Saeed:
Saeed’s father was able to visit Saeed in prison yesterday. Saeed was quite shaken as he had to witness 6 fellow prisoners being beaten and taken to be executed (hanged) that day. It was a hard and dark day having witnessed that and seeing life being taken. The prison visit was also very hard as the families of those who were executed were crying and wailing.
It was also an emotional visitation as it is getting closer to Jacob’s 7th birthday. Last time Saeed saw Jacbo he was 4 years old.
Thank you all for praying. Please continue to pray for Saeed to have the strength to endure in that harsh prison and that Jesus would continue to meet him there and give him hope. Please pray that this will be the year that Saeed is released.
Love you all
Naghmeh
