Good Friday
Almighty God, we pray you graciously to behold this your family, for whom our Lord Jesus Christ was willing to be betrayed, and given into the hands of sinners, and to suffer death upon the cross; who now lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, we pray you to set your passion, cross, and death between your judgment and our souls, now and in the hour of our death. Give mercy and grace to the living; pardon and rest to the dead; to your holy Church peace and concord; and to us sinners everlasting life and glory; for with the Father and the Holy Spirit you live and reign, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Thank you. Amen…
I was laying in bed last night thinking about “Good Friday”…and how horrified anyone would be watching such an execution/murder….
That murder, though sovereignly ordained, is the hope of our/my faith.
Well, part of it.
Resurrection is The Hope….. but the murder is part of that too. My sins.
What a contrast to any Good Friday service I’ve ever been to.
amen, Paige
Space itself and the granite of the Earth’s crust cried out in horror that
their very Creator had been murdered.
Matthew 27, Mark 15, and Luke 23.
A good thought on Good Friday

“He could have called 10,000 angels, but He died alone…” every time i bring up Michael’s web-site and see that picture… “My God, why has Thou forsaken me?” … all our sins paid for …
oh, Lord, make this real to us … Your love and justice satisfied – Your holiness uncompromised
