Prayer & Praise
God of all truth, we give thanks for your faithful utterance of reality.
In your truthfulness, you have called the world “very good.”
In your truthfulness, you have promised, “I have loved you with an everlasting love.”
In your truthfulness, you have assured, “This is my beloved Son.”
In your truthfulness, you have voiced, “Fear not, I am with you.”
In your truthfulness, you have guaranteed that “Nothing shall separate us from your love in Jesus Christ.”
It is by your truthfulness that we love.
And yet, we live in a world phony down deep in which we participate at a slant.
Ours is a seduced world, where we call evil good and good evil, where we put darkness for light and light for darkness, where we call bitter sweet and sweet bitter (Isa. 5:20), where we call war peace and peace war, so that we rarely see the truth of the matter.
Give us courage to depart the pretend world of euphemism, to call things by their right name, to use things for their right use, to love our neighbor as you love us.
Overwhelm our fearful need to distort, that we may fall back into your truth-telling about us, that we may be tellers of truth and practitioners of truth.
We pray in the name of the One whom you have filled with “grace and truth.”
Amen.

Please ask God to help me reconcile with my CCCM brother.
Gary, we know that is a prayer God wants to answer with a “Yes!” Praying for you and your brother.
I’m flying overseas tomorrow to visit with family as well as a couple of speaking opportunities. Praying for a safe and SMOOTH flight, and blessed time with my family and friends. Prayers appreciated.
Our friend Gunilla may be allowed to go home for hospice care to live out her days. Please pray for the family as this has been such a sudden and difficult trial.
Our son-in-laws father is an alcoholic and it came to the point his wife separated as he refused any type of help. He has a bad heart and was selling his tools and was buying booze. He is taking a bus today to Texas to live with his mother. The family is shaken. Please pray God will do a miracle so that he might come to faith and get sober before he kills himself. He is destitute and still can’t admit the gravity of the situation.
Erunner, Praying for this family. Praying that man wakes from his stupor and receives life.
I’m glad your friend gets to come home. My mom and dad were both home when they died, and it was so much better for them and for the family. May the Lord embrace them in His loving grace.
Thank you Nonnie. Your prayers mean the world to me.
Gary…praying for that reconciliation.
Nonnie..praying for a safe, smooth trip and an effective and joyful ministry and visit
e-Runner…praying for your family and your son-in-law’s father
Thank you!
Gary
May the love of Jesus Christ over flow your hearts, knitting together that which has been torn.
Nonnie
May you enjoy the safest form of travel known to man. May you be fully satisfied being with family and may your speaking be as an oracle of our God.
Erunner
You are awesome dude! May your very presence be healing for others.
Thanks for your prayers. The plan is for Gunilla to come home this evening with hospice care. They are going to remove the tubes from her mouth and the family is hoping she will be able to communicate. Her husband’s desire is for her to pass while at home.
Our son-in-law’s father left yesterday promising to get better. He apologized for what he’s done which appears to be the first time he’s apologized for anything. Praying God will intercede.
Gunilla slipped into eternity last night and is now with her God. Please pray for the family during this difficult time.
erunner,
May God have mercy.
You were the hands of God to these folks…and we’re grateful for you.
Thank you Michael. The family is doing as well as can be expected. Robert is struggling having lost his bride of 48 years as he feels lost without her.
It appears our daughter-in-law has miscarried. They will be seeing doctors today and make decisions based on what they learn. Please pray for them.
Our son received a call from the doctor a few hours ago. The doctor said our son’s wife has highly elevated pregnancy hormones. This might mean Christina is earlier in her pregnancy that everyone thought and that could be why the doctors told them what they did today. They go in next week so Christina can have an ultrasound and just maybe she could still be carrying a live baby. Please pray. Thank you.
