Happy New Year!

A new friend in Germany wrote me with holiday greetings and mentioned a tradition that some German churches have of a Bible verse for everyday and one for a New Year.

This years verse is:

“but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.”

(1 Thessalonians 5:21 NLT-SE)

I think our Moravian brethren are on to something…I’ll go so far as to say this is inspired.

Never in my lifetime has there been such a need for critical and biblical testing of all the different attempts to influence us.

Test…and hold on.

Amen and amen…

Happy New Year, my friends…

The first thing I saw in my news feed this morning was the terror incident in New Orleans. What a way to start the year! I am praying that there are no more incidents.

    Linn,

All the best to you and yours this year!
