I watched The Passion of the Christ last night. Hadn’t seen it since it was released.
It was almost too much for me to watch.
The price He paid for my sins is beyond comprehension. Yet, I know it’s true and by faith believe and accept his glorious free offer of eternal salvation.
“Tis mystery all! The Immortal dies!
Who can explore His strange design?
In vain the firstborn seraph tries
To sound the depths of love Divine!
’Tis mercy all! let earth adore,
Let angel minds inquire no more.
’Tis mercy all! let earth adore,
Let angel minds inquire no more”
yes, another Amen to all that has been expressed … we may not understand, but God help us if we cannot bow with tears and trembling before such love and power …
it occurs to me to wonder just how many souls down thru time to this very day here in 2017 still think that they sealed a mere man away to rot in that tomb; think that Jesus is dead and gone?
This homily is attributed to Melito of Sardis (present day Turkey), the 2nd Century Bishop of Sardis.

I am speechless….
“Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words.”
Amen!
