Killing For The King…

Valentina Gomez is a immigrant from Columbia seeking political office as a Republican in Texas.

A video posted on “X” shows her simulating the execution of an undocumented person who had committed a violent crime in America with a caption reading “this is cheaper than deportation”.

Normally, such sadistic nonsense would be beneath my dignity to even comment on, but there is much here to unpack.

The first line of her bio on “X” is “Christ is King”.

She has many posts declaring her allegiance to Jesus along with lots of posing with weapons and slurs on gay people.

On more than one post she asserts that anyone who disagrees with her extremism is “gay”.

I would like to state my belief, based on the Scriptures and the unction of the Spirit, that the next time she meets Jesus will be the first time she has met Him and I pray that she repents of her wickedness before that happens.

Why give her even more exposure?

She has over 400,000 followers on “X”.

That is a significant number of people following someone who should have to bribe family members to have any following at all.

There are, evidently, large numbers of people who believe it acceptable for followers of Jesus to also be advocates for violence and hatred for anyone not like themselves.

They think they are standing for righteousness…

I do not want anyone believing that this kind of toxic narcissism is representative of Jesus or His church…it’s not.

Finally, she posts these things because she believes it’s a winning formula…she’s just saying out loud what so many are wise enough to be quiet about.

May God have mercy on us…she may be right.

This is awful, especially for someone coming from a country that once had the highest murder rate in the world. When I lived there from 1985-1992, we got the weekend count of homicides every Monday morning (usually 20-30 in the city where I lived). I witnessed the kidnapping of two of my colleagues by a heavily armed guerrilla group (we were blessed to have them returned after 3 months). Violent death was a normal part of daily life. I hope someone confronts her publicly!

Someone needs to remind Valentina Gomez that OTHER people have guns too and remind her of Texas Penal Code 9.33, which states the following:

Sec. 9.33. DEFENSE OF THIRD PERSON. A person is justified in using force or deadly force against another to protect a third person if:

    (1) under the circumstances as the actor reasonably believes them to be, the actor would be justified under Section 9.31 or 9.32 in using force or deadly force to protect himself against the unlawful force or unlawful deadly force he reasonably believes to be threatening the third person he seeks to protect; and

    (2) the actor reasonably believes that his intervention is immediately necessary to protect the third person.

It would be most unfortunate for her if someone else ends up putting 2 rounds into her center torso as she is attempting to commit murder.

Of course if that happens to her, I would read her obituary with great pleasure (to quote Clarence Darrow). Live by the sword and die by it, that sort of thing.

The reason I stated my earlier comment that is that it obvious any sort of “Christlikeness” or compassion or any sort of human decency or morality escapes Ms. Gomez. Therefore, the only way to get through to her would be to directly appeal to her basic biological need for self-preservation.

it doesn’t do much good to post the commandments in schools if the politicians who put them up also promote deadly violence.
