Thanks for the birthday greetings. I had a wonderful, relaxing day with the family, enjoying God’s creation. We drove out to the Coachella Valley, to the Living Desert and Botanical Gardens. Gorgeous weather for it.

I really enjoyed the Francis Collins article and I read the article on healing. I have always been troubled by healing, I learned early on in my Christian faith not to pray for personal healing of any kind because most likely any healing would be of Satan because I most likely had vile motives and it was just too tiring plus the few times I ever did pray such personal prayers they did not work. Actually praying for personal needs was / is so tiring and ladened with terror that I might cross some line with God so I dont. I did for my family member healing and comfort and often became physically ill when doing so. The Christian faith is just so exhausting.

The article on healing was excellent! It reminded me God does heal. Sometimes I forget that. You can be sure I’ll be praying for you, Michael. Also, ‘In Defense of Christmas Cheer’ is what’s been on my mind, lately. Why can’t we be happy and joyous? I loved it and actually agreed with something on that site. There’s enough time for sadness and enough things in this world to be sad about. I’ll take every chance to celebrate that I can. I don’t forget the reason for the season. I wanna celebrate it every day.
