remembering the people of the Kingdom of Nepal before the throne of the one True God today…
agreeing with those who declare that only His hand of restraint keeps this world from a total destruction… Oh, Lord Jesus we need You, Thy Kingdom come
Amen, Em. I have a friend, an Orthodox priest, who was living in Katmandu this past year trying to win some folks for Christ. His health declined and he recently had to leave Nepal. I wonder if his sickness resulted in saving his life. Well, as Em likes to say, just pondering.
Meanwhile, can anything possibly be more annoying than a family member joining an MLM (pyramid scheme) and plastering cult-like propaganda all over everyone’s FB page? I had to unfollow her until she recovers from her temporary insanity.
She is “distributing” a concoction that claims to cure all the illnesses of mankind and sucks mega-bucks automatically from her checking account. I haven’t spoken to her about it because it would just delay her coming to her senses….
Tomorrow is the Sunday of the Myrrh-bearing Women! Christ is Risen!
I am seeing a lot of support of BJ’s decision on my FB.
He is implying that God has made a mistake.
I missed the interview.
I was wondering what the thought is from a Christian perspective.
Could God have given him the soul of a woman but the body of a man for some sort of test?
I don’t believe so. That is what he is implying and others are supporting.
IMO it is another attack against. God.
i, as a Believer, do not condemn Jenner at all… he is troubled… our planet is troubled… the Fall upset God’s design, but not His plan – we do a poor job of second guessing and rationalizing what is the mind of God… as someone said, we only see the bottom side of the tapestry He is weaving
i hope the weekend wishes from brian redound to bless his weekend, too
Christians following and commenting on the Jenner situation seems like voyeurism and gossip. Might just as well watch a Kardashian’s marathon.
Not to disagree with Steve, but tomorrow’s message should be about Jesus and him crucified and it is beyond me how you can enhance that with Bruce Jenner illustrations.
Michael, I read your blog from Southern California, and enjoy it. I also spent a long time in northern Mexico, do your cartel stuff hits me hard.
There is no need to publish my comment, because the only other thing I have to say is to offer a spelling tip.
“It’s” is a contraction. “Its” is the possessive. I confused these two for years. FWIW. I mention this because of your (excellent) book intro.
Bleessings,
Bruce
MLD – Rest assured, the point of my comment was not a preview of tomorrow’s sermon.
Millions of unbelievers watched that interview too….and it provided one of the best examples of the meaning of Christ’s words to deny yourself that the average American has had.
I actually was working out where it was on TV, or I would not have chosen to watch it. However, I am glad I did (I saw most of it).
Hard to talk about it though with someone who did not see it…so I won’t try.
Gotta love that Brucey also came out as a Republican/conservative in the interview.
I’m sure he’ll get a glowing reception from that party.

That “came out” as Sawyer was in shock that as she tried to get Jenner to praise Obama as the patron saint of transgenders he was less than enthused to do so. So she kept pressing…
Truly, I think she was in shock he did not gush over Obama.
As far as Republicans, from what I could tell he mostly wanted to be left alone to live his life, which no conservative is going to be overly bothered by – doesn’t seem the sort to crusade against bakeries and photographers.
My less than prophetic prediction, he will get a lot more heat over time from the LBGTQ community if he continues his adamant statements about how unappealing men are sexually, his lack of desire for genital surgeries (not to mention paid for by the taxpayers) – and I doubt they are going to find an advocate for 7th grade unisex bathrooms in Middle School.
I don’t know what the transgender equivalent of “Uncle Tom” would be, but I expect he will hear that from the left unless he goes to the wall with them.
Time will tell. But I certainly agree with the earlier comment…he is a troubled soul.

“Christ is Risen!” … indeed – resurrected, ascended, returning King
i watched 10 minutes of the former Bruce J’s pity party last night
that’s what happens when a man tries to live with the Kardashian clan
the human race has long been a bit twisted, but now it is twisted so tight that it is fraying – just praying for souls

Phil and I will be talking about this on Mondays podcast.
Nothing is as it should be since the Fall…
The interview should be watched…there isn’t just a sermon illustration or two there but an entire theology textbook.
I hope everyone is having a nice Saturday and will have a wonderful Sunday.
Bless you, Brian…

FWIW – sex (perhaps including gender) is a test, period… like most all of our capacities…
Deuteronomy 30:10-15
I just watched the ill interview on youtube. He is a severely troubled soul.

MLD – think i agree on both points
