A thought for the day (and discussion):
“The love of God does not find, but creates, that which is pleasing to it. The love of man comes into being through that which is pleasing to it.”
– M. Luther, Heidelberg Disputation, Theses #28
Do you agree with Luther? Why?
My daughter just got engaged!
Happy new year everyone! Love you
CONGRATULATIONS dusty!
Happy New Year to you also!!!
Thanks Dan.
How did church go Was praying for the two of you today.
Happy new year big brother, feel better soon. Always praying for you. Love you
Congratulations to your daughter, dusty!
Thank you, dusty, for your servant’s heart and your commitment to prayer and praise. You show us Jesus’ heart.
Happy New Year to all!
Thank you linnea. You are so sweet.
i read and re-read Jean’s #1 and confess i can’t quite get my mind around it…
the love as an attribute of God is objectively creative and the love in man is dependent upon the attributes, is subjective?
Congratulations Dusty. I wish your daughter and her fiancé the best. 🙂
Thanks j2tp
to Jean’s #1 – I prefer #26 = “The law says,”do this”, and it is never done. Grace says, “believe in this”, and everything is already done.
New Years Day challenges thrown out today by so many evangelical churches is to chase after the law. Oh what a destructive way to begin any new year. — heck, to begin any new day.
dusty (#5). Thanks for your prayers. We weren’t able to make it today to church. We still intend on going to this one church we have picked out but at this time both wife and I are a bit leery of some church environments and people.
Congratulations Dusty.
Dan , i totally understand! I am skittish of churches myself. Will keep praying
David h, thank you!
I watched the Rose Bowl Parade this morning. I saw the Lutheran Hour float. Somehow they managed to get Jesus on the float! I saw him waving and smiling at the crowd 😉
Thanks dusty!
