I’ve never taken the bait on “the end is near”…..
But, as i read 2Tim4 this morning, i can’t shake off the sense that apostasy is really gaining ground…. what does it mean? Not sure….

Massive sections of the American church are operating in idolatry or sin that leads to apostasy…while there is a vibrant church in many parts of the world.
“The peace which you proclaim with words must dwell even more abundantly in your hearts. Do not provoke others to anger or give scandal. Rather let your gentleness draw them to peace, goodness and concord. This is our vocation: to heal wounds, to bind what is broken, to bring home those who are lost.”
Michael–any sense to what Ben Courson’s announced step-away-for-a-season statement represents? I know he moved away to San Diego a couple months ago, but thought he was going to still be involved regularly via commuter. His vague admissions to consensual sexual relationships does little to clear the air, and a self-imposed six month break seems like he’s still in the driver’s seat. Your thoughts?

The stories we have had come our way on Ben Courson have been…bizarre.
His parents have been very skillful in stopping them from spreading…until now, evidently.
Em. I can only say what I interpret, but not in a proselytizing way. I realize my thinking is off the reservation, with an alternative ending.
1. We are in the “latter time” but that is a very relative statement. Its “latter” in a perportoinal sense. I suspect there are many years yet to come. An entire age of unknown duration. I have no interest in speculation because it’s not the objective.
2. Apostasy? Yes. I am convinced this is an era and not a one time event. Possibly several hundred years? Perhaps? It is underway now. It is not a random or spontaneous social movement. It is driven by spirits and seeks an alteration in the Church of God.
