They just released the trailer for the movie telling a version of the story of the hippies coming to Chuck Smith’s church.
All I’ll say is this:
It will have its detractors, those who say something is off about the movie. When you see Frasier Crane as Pastor Chuck…you’ll say something’s off, too π―
I was one of those hippies in the 70βs. The Lord used that Jesus movement to change my life. I watched the trailer and was moved by it. I know and experienced the power of the Holy Spirit through broken people. Call me sentimental.
Sadly, what started out as a beautiful move of God and transformed so many lives, turned into a multimillion dollar power grab, when ailing Chuck Smith was dying. What a shame. I hope the film will be used to His glory.

Greg Laurie thinks Frazier makes a good Pastor Chuck.
Maybe Niles could play Lonnie Frisbee.

βThe church needs to be honest and humble about all the ways we get stuff wrong. We should lead the way in repentance and asking for forgiveness.β
Saw this on Facebook from our old friend Daniel Fusco.
Gordon Fee has died. π
And for those who haven’t kept tabs at WtH co-founding pastor of the former MH Lief Moi died last month.
Fee was a significant and important theologian … and a very fine man by all accounts.
Sorry to hear about Dr. Fee. A complete class act. His monograph on the prosperity gospel alone was worth its weight in gold.
I remember a late-night radio show Leif Moi hosted from I think the late 90s w/Driscoll.
So is the breaking news about Jerry Lee Lewis’ passing real this time (yahoo and tmz reporting it)?
He’s gone.
oh man
