Potters Field Loses Wage Appeal
After months of waiting, reports from former Potters Field interns are coming in that Mike and Pam Rozell have lost another round with the Montana Wage and Labor Board.
The interns have been awarded back wages and penalties from the “ministry” earned while working at the MudMan burger joints the “non profit” owned.
The question now is whether the Rozell’s will continue to appeal the rulings and continue to (allegedly) defraud young people God entrusted to them.
More on this story can be found on this site… here… and elsewhere by putting “Potters Field” in the search bar.
Here’s praying the Rozell’s come to their senses and do the right thing.
Good prayer, Pastor Pineapple
Praying God sends them an effective confrontation, their strong mentor, perhaps
“The interns have been awarded back wages and penalties…”
Good!!
“The question now is whether the Rozell’s will continue to appeal the rulings and continue to (allegedly) defraud young people God entrusted to them.”
No doubt, although I hope I’m wrong.
False profits. ****Ugh! In the spirit of Galatians 6:1, I would be highly tempted by financial gain in ministry. I mean, it seems that it’s the whole “game” today. Though I would be tempted were I in that place, I do pray I would overcome it. And I also pray the Rozelles may be given the unmerited grace of a repentant heart and mind. Our Father still loves them. J+M (justice AND mercy)
PFM actually dodged a big bullet in that the wage claim was filed in Montana, a state where labor and employment law is still quite employer friendly. Had these wage and hour claim taken place in California, this would likely have resulted in a multi million dollar lawsuit against PFM and related entities.
