Tonight I said goodbye to the most loving, affectionate and unassuming friend I have ever known. I can hardly bear the sorrow. I only hope that all dogs really do go to heaven. Goodbye, Buddy. I will never forget you.

Scott, so sorry for the loss of your furry friend. The hardest thing about having a pet is how short a time we have with them.

My own beloved big dog is having health problems of his own. Took him in for a check up, and it looks like he is diabetic. Going back on Thursday for a fasting glucose test.

  4. Scott H says:

Buddy was a beautiful male Boxer. He loved children and was so accepting of anyone and everyone, even when we added a cat and lap dog into our family.

it is true that all creatures great and small … the Lord God made them all and if i read correctly they were His gift to us … no good thing will He withhold from His children? seems to me that it follows that those good and faithful creatures will have a place in His eternal plan also – i’m going to be looking for Skipper and Callie and a horse named Ernie

finished pet sitting for this week – before i quit taking advantage of internet access, i must thank God… 2 horses, 2 cats and one pit bull – unexpected below – way below – freezing temps for which we were not ready and the number of possible trials and tribbles that didn’t happen call for a thanks be to God, Who heard my prayers (yes He did) even when i was mildly cussing ice and deer and a squirrely dog who wanted to take off after them and … other things
i am a little dazzled by the weather prediction for snow – please God don’t let it snow Thursday … as of now it’s been called off 🙂

and also for some really wonderful ponders and edification here, courtesy of Michael and company

    God keep

    Popping in to say hi!

I am trying to take a bit of a break from FaceBook, and yet I find i still want some interaction!! Coming by here to pray for each…praying for Scott and his grieving the faithful friend. Boy have we been there. No easy way trough that grief.

Praying for Jlo’s dog as well.

Love seeing Em’s name as i pop in. Praying today that it is not snowing for your Thursday!!

We are coming out of a rather intense season in our little household. Nothing too significant…just insane work schedule for Steve, but that throws everything out of whack. I feel like I am running to try and stay a little ahead of all the activities, and end up a bit weary and cranky more often than I would l like.

    Life, isn’t it?

Anyway…just wanted to come by and say hello. To pray a bit for everyone.

Continuing to pray for Michael’s health and job situation.

Praying for grace for all the pastors as we move into the Advent season…praying for the Story to be fresh to you and speak life and grace and hope in the midst of your lives in these weeks leading up.

Really thankful my Dad has been able to begin attending church again after almost 5 year…Mom just can’t do a setting like that. She is almost to the point they cannot go out for meals anymore either. He has help a few hours a week now and is attending church with one of my brothers…really thankful for that!

  9. Michael says:

I’ll add the amen to all you wrote…
God has answered many of our prayers in the last few months, but we still need a job…I’m getting desperate , but God isn’t.

    Hi Sarah!

  11. sarahkwolfe says:

Hey Xenia!! I headed out right after that post and have just now had the chance to sit back down.

Michael…I would feel desperate. You have been a great witness in all of this, and yet I do continue to pray that God would grant you something soon. Praying for grace.

  12. London says:

Thanks to those of you who prayed for my nephew and his work situation. Had news of very positive results today.

    Happy for him
