Could still use some prayers during this coming week. I’m really having a difficult time starting this particular gig. It “feels” very much like it was a mistake to take it on.
I took it instead of waiting on a potential dream gig to come through. My two buddies are on that gig and I’m out in a town by myself which isn’t usually a big deal, but this time, I’m really having a hard time.
Like, wanting to cry difficult. If you knew me at all, you’d know that’s not a common place for me to be.
I don’t know if my instinct is wrong, it’s usually not, but this feels like a disaster waiting to happen….

London, praying—sounds like a toxic workplace. Which means—get out. You have been targeted and are being bullied. I say this due the classic symptoms you have expressed.

Lord, release London from this terrible situation and grant him the desire of his heart. I ask this because of Jesus, Father. Amen

What you do is this. First talk to the head person to enable them to remedy the situation within 2 weeks, or less. If they dismiss it, you ask to see their EAP counselor, then you tell them about this—how it is affecting our sense of well being and safety on the job. Then, you give a 1-2 weeks notice to resign. Make sure you communicate everything in writing, so you will have a record of trying to work this out with your employer. After, this apply for UIB on the basis that you resigned with cause.

While you’re doing all of this you might research: bullying in the workplace. It will help you to identify and articulate the issues to others, as well as, understand that if you are being bullied, harass, and/or just plain targeted, it’s not you—it is what is being done to you. Hope this helps.

    London,

On second thought: DO NOT GO TO THEIR EAP (they are not on your side). Follow the directions of article posted.

Lord bless you with wisdom, peace of mind, and that open door.

  7. London says:

    Linda.
    Thanks for the effort.
I’ve not been targeted or being personally bullied.
    It’s just new project woes.
    Prayers would be appreciated

praying, London… my daughter is in a similar situation… FWIW the tearful reaction just might be health related?

  9. London says:

If its health related, it’s something I’m unaware of.

  10. Nonnie says:

    Praying for you London.

  11. Linnea says:

London…praying for you and for God’s clear direction.

  12. Linnea says:

Please pray for my husband and his parents. Their health is declining and their long term care insurance is legally tied up. Please pray that God would direct my husband to the right resources to get this insurance freed up for his parent’s use.

Some of you here may remember Randy Ziegler, the evangelist associated with Calvary Chapel’s Saturday Night Concert ministry in the early 80s. Randy also taught a popular mid-week Bible study at CCCM during that time.

Randy is currently receiving hospice care at a facility in Santa Ana California and is in his final days here on earth. Anyone in the Southern California area wishing to visit Randy can do so at the address below:

    Country Villa Plaza
    1209 Hemlock Way
    Santa Ana, CA 92707
Phone at the facility: (714) 546-1966

  14. A Believer says:

Disregard the location and phone number listed in my last post.

Randy has been removed from the facility to a new, undisclosed location.

    But prayers are still appreciated!

Beautiful thing to see 3 women huddled in the corner of the Starbucks encouraging and praying for one another.
