  1. Paul A. Lytton says:

Jesus Christ, son of God-the-Father (Jehovah), creator of mankind and all other things (both material and spiritual), our Lord and Savior, hear my prayer and allow it to magnify (to me and to others) the glory of Your righteousness.

My prayer is not only for me, but also for all of my Christian brothers and sisters that are experiencing unpleasantness, turmoil and pain: physically, emotionally, financially, relationship wise and all other trials of suffering which are in need of Your help to maintain our contentment and Faith.

Give us the understanding that during the storm (which is obviously strong enough to sink the boat we are in) that even though we see you asleep (resting) while we are in danger and afraid, You chose to remain being in the same boat we are afraid of being in.

Keep us well aware of the fact that you control the wind and the sea, You love us and You will see to it that we will arrive at the designated place which you have instructed us to head towards, regardless of how it may appear to us during the trip.

When we become weak and we do not think that you understand what it is like to go through what we do, make us realize that you suffered (facing the wrath of God) in every human aspect for our sake without committing one sin through Your journey towards the same destination we now seek, which is to have eternal-righteous-relationships with You in Your Kingdom where there will be neither existence of evil, nor any of it’s by products.

Thank You for waking us up regarding the reason You were nailed to the cross and causing us to understand the pain and suffering you endured in a human state of experiencing it, while we were asleep (ignorant) about what was happening to You and the significance of it.

We were so asleep during Your storm (facing God the father’s Wrath on our behalf) that we were unaware of who You really are, or what was really going on. We neither knew that there was even a storm brewing, nor that we were in a simple boat while the storm brews.

However; You were asleep in “our” storm (facing the trials and sorrows we do not want to experience) because You were not afraid of us being harmed, due to Your assurance that we will surely reach the destination you sent us to, as long as we stay in the boat with You.

I did not include non-Christians in this prayer because they do not yet know You and therefore they can not be expected to “trust” You. Use the observance that they see of us trusting You during the times of our troubles as a way to be a guide for them to want to know You.

In the name of the Holy, Glorious, Righteous – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – I pray.

    Amen.
