I am writing today to thank you all for praying for our 3 1/2 year old grandson, Bennet, who had his 3rd open heart surgery. He only spent 6 days in hospital and is now home and doing very well.
He wakes up in lots of pain and distress, but most of the day he is his happy, joyful self.
Thank you all for praying for him. To God be the glory!

Our former pastor passed away today. At one time we were the closest of friends. Filled with sadness.

    1 thru 24 … thank You, Lord

Lord, send Erunner Your comfort now, bear his grief with him and hold him close
thank You, Lord for Your mercy and blessings to Nonnie and those she loves and others, too, who lately have been so in need of Your tender, strong care – i know, unseen most of the time by sparrows and Saints alike, You are watching nevertheless

my son’s memorial service was held yesterday. It was outdoors at the family farm of old friends–one of my son’s favorite places. It was a powerful experience, far exceeding my hopes and desires. While the grief is still raw and ever-present, we have found consistent comfort in the presence of others, the texts, calls, and posts of those who knew and loved him, the prayers of those concerned, and the precious balm of the Holy Spirit. It was a remarkable service that deeply affected all who attended. Thank-you to all who have prayed and expressed condolences. I’m exhausted physically and emotionally and will have to return to my classes in the next couple days, so I’d appreciate your prayers for the transition back to work.
