Love this…”We wait while the world groans in eager longing.”

Update on Dannie– she is recovering well and has been transferred to a children’s hospital for rehabilitation. For now, it appears the immediate crisis is over, but now comes the long fight to regain function and to fight through physical therapy.

    Thank you.

  7. John 20:29 says:

praying with dusty again this morning – trusting in God’s mercies that so many need right now (maybe we all do – all the time, eh?)

praying that Michael is surrounded with his own phalanx of angels tasked with his care and protection… it seems that the devil is prowling and roaring against so many of God’s children right now… Jesus is Lord and coming King… praying we all be strengthened to see Him and stay the course through all that we go through today

  8. em ... again says:

i must thank and praise God today as i awoke with the forecast of an ice storm and i was alone here in the mountains… it was, all in all, a nice day and all my chores are done inside and out…
now, Lord, if You can keep our power on through the night, and see my daughter, who is putting in another 12 hour+ day at the hospital, home safely over the 40 miles of icy roads again… please and thank You
praying for all on dusty’s list tonight – God keep

  9. dusty says:

Thank You Lord for this day, thank You for our lives, thank You for YOur Son! Where would we be without Him. We would be nothing. We would be nothing….Your Son! Your Son has given us life and more abundantly. Father we are but broken, ill and dirty. And yet You love us.

I ask that You see the needs here and heal the sick, the broken and the dirty, Let us be in Your image, loving, graceful and kind. Let us reflect the light that shines from You to others that they may see and hear and believe.

  10. John 20:29 says:

thanking God for prayers answered (and for pray-ers) this a.m. – it took her over two hours to go 40 miles on ice, but my daughter arrived home safe last night – many cars in ditches
reading and praying this list here this a.m.

(FWIW – years ago, the first reaction that i had when i was told that i needed a biopsy was anger and i was rather short with the medical people trying to attend to my health, i fear… perhaps the hostility that some here are receiving from ill loved ones is just their reaction to being so sick?)

  11. John 20:29 says:

p.s. – the jet plane (photo taken by one of my daughters) or rocking chair (all the babies in the family were rocked in that chair) in the corner of my comments here are dependent on which browser i am using when i stop by the Phxp…

God keep all close and comforted during these hard winter days

  12. dusty says:

So glad your daughter made it home safely last night. and that you are safe.

  13. Erunner says:

Thank you for your prayers. My wife is off work for at least four months. She will be having knee surgery hopefully in February. Her knee is bad enough they would replace it but the risk of infection, etc. led to this decision which will hopefully buy a lot of time. Her platelets are improving.

A chest X-ray showed mom to have COPD. I’m not sure what to make of that so I’m not sure what our next step will be. Finding a 24/7 365 day a year help line for Alzheimer’s and Dementia has been a godsend. Please pray we make good decisions going forward.
